News is now spreading on various entertainment news sites and twitter that the BBC are preparing to announce the artists who will serve as coaches on the upcoming season of the Voice UK.

The names that are being reported everywhere now are Jessie J, Mark Owen, Mary J Blige and Will Young. Not a bad panel by any stretch but I'd replace Mark Owen with someone a bit more "rock" based.

I know The Voice isn't the X-Factor but until The Voice get's it's own forum, this is the most applicable place

My left field prediction is Noel Gallagher.

I predict The Voice gets the same viewing figure's as the very first X factor did.

I'd replace Mary J Blige with someone who's made some decent records, and Will Young with somebody who's not spectacularly dull. That's looking like one hell of a weak panel. What happened to Tom Jones?

I wouldn't say that Will Young is dull- he was about the best guest mentor X-Factor ever got. He had the balls to say Eoghan was boring and couldn't really sing and he took a CD of the artist he thought each contestant should look to for inspiration in to them (I remember he gave Diana an Emiliana Torrini album). His music might be to your taste but I think his mentoring skills are pretty impressive.

What about "TV shows"?

Most other Voice threads are in here, and lets be honest, people who watch the X-Factor are most likely going to watch the Voice. They share a similar market so this is the place in which this thread belongs.

Did you see him as guest presenter on Never Mind The Buzzcocks last week?

But he won't be hosting the show, he'll be a coach on the show.

I'd rather the coaches were musically knowledgable and capable as opposed to having a sparkling personality.

I know!

I'm aghast at some people's contempt of her. Her music is not my cup of tea but she's a pioneer and has a fantastic voice.

I doubt that's true, Peter Andre and Stacey are both mainly ITV as is Russell and I doubt Peter would be allowed to present a primetime BBC show when he has an ITV2 fly on the wall series

Jessie J and Mary J duet would be awesome!!

Jessie J
Mary J
Will Young
James Morrison

That for me would be a great balance in a panel And James did Fame Academy

Not true. That article is always getting trolled. Last month it said Jessie J, Cee-lo Green, Adam Levine and Tom Jones were the judges!

I suggested Will Young for The X Factor after he was a guest performer (Series 5?). He was one of the better Celebrity mentors, why did the celebrity mentors get axed?

He applied but rejected him so that means he knows the feeling of rejection and can really relate to the contestants
