What about Tom Jones?
Mary J would be fab, she's a legend.

That panel is less impressive than it was looking when the two members we thought we knew were Jessie J and Tom Jones. At that point you thought the sky was the limit. Well...turned out not quite.

Jessie should definitley jump ship. She's hardly even established herself as an artist and now she's just gonna be known as a reality show judge. That's a stupid move.

Credibility for all ages is a must... Jessie J's only been in the industry for 5 minutes, and although Mary J.Blige has a great history and an even greater voice, she hasn't been relevant (especially in the UK) for many years. Therefore a lot of kids won't even have heard of her unlike Sir Tom Jones for instance.

Mark Own has never been a solo artist, and let's be honest here, he's a back-up singer... Will Young would be a good Judge and Mentor as he's not only been through a similar process but he isn't afraid to speak his mind either, and he's made it despite Cowell.

The one thing that they don't have is a bona fide UK based global A-Lister. They won't fork out for Kylie (which they so unprofessionally leaked) even though they paid £22million for the format. My only fear is that (as always) the BBC are going to do this "on the cheap" at the last minute, and are going to mess up what could be a really great programme, and therefore the viewing figures are going to drain away right from the start together with the show's credibility.

he`s never been a successful solo artist i`ll grant you. however, he has released 3 solo albums. i do agree he is a bad fit for `the voice`.

someone has messed up that wiki page! i very much doubt peter andre, stacey soloman and russel are hosting and i wouldn't believe the coaches either obviously apart from Jessie!

Love the line up except for the horrendous Mark Owen.

He's got a horrible voice - and hardly a good role model to be a mentor and judge of people's vocals!

Mark Owen??

I'd rather have Cheryl Cole!

Hmm I can't imagine they'd have Will Young AND Mark Owen, the US one generally had 4 quite distinct coaches, the contestants could choose between - the budding diva young girls/big voices generally went to Christina, country to Blake, Adam didn't start off in the strongest position but eventually got some of the best in the whole contest and Cee Lo went for some of the more rocky, unique voices. Obviously it didn't always work it out like that, the coaches were interested in a variety of voices but I generally found the contestant picked the coach I expected them to.
I think Mark and Will offer the same thing to contestants as the 'male pop' on the panel. I think it would be better to have two more distinct males if possible, one pop, one in another genre or more experienced like Tom Jones/Lenny Kravitz who were mooted.

Although as a huge Will fan, I don't particularly want him to do this show, he's certainly got experience as a mentor. He's worked with students at Paul McCartney's LIPA and mentored youngsters through the charities he's involved with too..

Ain't that the truth.
