what is the point of voting when x factor does what ever it likes, the latest twist just shows what a joke this years x factor has become and how we the public are not in control.

how dare they bring old acts back that have been voted out fair and square.

how dare they not make it clear to frankies fans if he walked or was pushed after all these people spent money saving him each week.

if we the public was in control the public vote would be between johnny and the risk after all they was the last 2 acts to leave.

i refuse to vote because the x factor has suddenly changed to big brother where they can change the rules at any moment.

Did you really feel the need to start a new thread about it...?

I thought the big complaint about the eliminated four was that they were not voted out fair and square?

Frankie was clearly (to me ) told to jump before he was pushed; very much like Emily back in series 4.

The public had already, in a round about way, voted to eliminate Johnny and The Risk from the competition as we did not vote enough to save them. If they were subjected to another phone vote, then OFCOM would become involved.

Agreed I'm not voting or watching either.
I don't care now Frankie has gone

I actually do not think you will be alone in this, I think a lot of the public may feel the same way and most of them are not on websites, some may not even hear until the night.. how bad is that.

I will break my vow to never vote for one reason only I wanted James through from the start, I dont vote and now feel if I want him there I will have to pick up my phone to help get him there.

It is not good and the show is a farce.

Please remember Johnny may have been asked back and said NO... we do not know what has been going on, and if I were Johnny I would have said no as well, his own mentor booted him out why would he want to come back..

OFCOM will be involved. How transparent do things have to be? First they have a 'twist' which removes people without a vote. Then they conveniently bring them back any time they fancy "because there wasn't a vote". It is a blatant ploy to get round the rules and invalidate the public vote. Now they have the cheek to ask us to vote to bring people back in!

Until this point I disbelieved all the conspiracy theories but this is so crass that it can't be ignored.

Same could be said of the one who comes back, it was their mentor who booted them off too

Yes, but that would mean they initally would have to have been thinking very far into the future and preparing themselves for people they were going to axe.

But who know how much they mercilessly plan ahead.

OFCOM will not be involved. Why should they be? The public have not been duped financially in anyway; each public vote has resulted in an act being eliminated as promised and this vote will see an act return, as promised. They're only bringing them back because Frankie left - not 'any time they fancy'. And how's it invalidating the public vote when the public didn't get to vote for these acts in the first place?

The producer's sung a song earlier.

Let's twist again like we did in week 1,
Let's twist again,
Frankie hurt our ears,

Do you remember when every act was rubbish,
Let's twist again,
Now the talents here,

Oh round and round we go and f*ck the show again,
The public are so thick, we'll rake the dough again

Let's twist again like we did in week 1,
Let's twist again,
Frankie hurt our ears,

Do you remember when every act was rubbish,
Let's twist again,
Now the talents here,

The reason they are bringing back these 4, rather than the most recent 2, is that people would just complain about having wasted their votes last weekend.

This was the only way to retain the integrity of the public vote, but still have enough contestants to get through to the final on schedule.

They could've just had a non-elimination week with votes carried over - though it is nice and, eh, convinient they just had these acts sitting there.

A non-elimination week would not have worked - what would be the point in the Sunday night show?

They have Lady Gaga and One Direction performing; that would bring a decent number of viewers and they could've revealed the bottom two without a sing off to give the public a guide of how the voting was going.

And the people who'd paid to vote would have nothing to show for it except keeping their favourite acts from a bottom two that would have no meaning, except to signal whose fans particularly needed to vote harder next week... maybe. Can't see that going down very well.

Still, without Frankie the show's going down like a lead balloon in my book anyhow. Another voter who's finished, not a refusal so much as indifference about what happens from here on in.

The people silly enough to vote someone back in are, in a roundabout way, paying for the mistakes of the production team. They see an opportunity to turn a publicity disaster into a quick
Buck and it's absolutely disgusting. Voting numbers should be freefone.

I'm just finding it difficult to care anymore, it feels something like playing against a stacked deck, where frustration eventually overtakes enthusiasm causing interest to wane.

To be honest, if my 13 year old niece, a huge XFactor fan, was not coming over to stay with me on Saturday, I wouldn't even bother watching.

I can't understand the point of voting full stop, does it enrich your life in any way?

I'm impressed that you know of these 'rules'. Would you be kind enough to post details please and I will cast a legal eye over them for you. Please don't let us down.

Great post, I agree with it all.

It's ridiculous that the public have voted for four weeks, and now they expect they can just put whoever the hell they like back into the competition? It's bang out of order.

I'll vote for any of the remaining six but there's no chance, no matter the performances, that I'll vote for the four contestants bring brought back. It's ridiculous that they're coming back at all. What about all the acts that have gone out all these weeks that might not have had there been someone else in the competition? Ridiculous.

Don't worry, I will vote thrice now, to cover your votes, and littlepit extra to thank X-Factor for this brave thing they did.

Oh absolutely. No doubt they had a couple of smooth-talkers from the X-Factor have a word with an impressionable young lad, persuade him to sign something saying he was quitting the show rather than them booting him, and telling him he would come off much better leaving of his own accord rather than being booted for breaking the rules. At least Frankie seems to have enough sense to implicate later that he was booted.

They were thrown out by the judges - so are no different in my eyes from the 16 chucked out at judges houses stage or indeed the thousands thrown out during the auditions/boot camp.

These 4 have no more right to be there than anyone else who auditioned - the judges got rid of them and the public never voted for them.

X factor has just taken farce to a whole new level!
