A bit late. What went on in X Factor 2010 made it quite clear to many, as to why voting in the early stages with the Judges final say, was a waste of time. Also, which Act is put through and why, can be debated to the cows come home, but be sure, some did not get in by luck, talent, or chance. Frankie fits the bill as the latter. If you pumped money into voting for this waste of space (lets have a larf on the public act), at least you got a bit of false excitement for a few weeks.

If you are a fan of Frankie don't worry, he will be around in the media for sometime. He has been "made" which beside the larf factor to get the viewing interest and votes in was no doubt part of the plan. He will fill your newspapers and make money, as he's both lauded and poked fun at all at the same time.

In a way your voting money has not been lost, as Frankie will still be there for you to see and even meet if your lucky.

I haven't voted at all this year, given that last year's season was already so heavily manipulated. I think the public votes are really just a starting point from which the producers work on controlling the outcome of each week.

I don't mind watching the show as entertainment, and if I'm honest I rather enjoy all the drama, but they're not having any more of my money.

I love sitting back and watching people throw their toys out of the pram
"I refuse to spend another penny voting"
" I will NEVER watch X Factor again"
" Now the best singer and clear winner has been unfairly booted out, I am going to camp outside Offcom until he is put back in"
Ha ha ha
Why do you lot take it so seriously? It has NO effect on your lives after it has finished. Just watch and enjoy. Or dont watch. But why the faux anger? And if you are daft enough to waste money voting in the first place then you should have no right to demand a refund. It is wasted money WHATEVER happens.
I cant WAIT till the weekend shows. Amelia FTW!!!!

Same here I have voted for Rhythmix (now Little Mix) from day 1 and no way will I change my vote. None of the other acts appeal to me and the 4 acts that got put out by the judges in the first week well in my opinion they were just not good enough to carry on.
So for me I wont be voting to bring anyone back in , only voting to keep my act in which is Little Mix

just seems the x factor is just taking the p out of the public and want the public to spend money to put their mess right.they gain money while you vote to bring someone back and then you have to vote again to save them knowing they could be the next one out anyway.

makes you question did they know frankie would be leaving thats why 2 contestants left last week,so they could add this new twist and control the public vote.fix factor springs to mind.

I disagree, most people ive spoken to are glad Frankies gone- since he was a joke and had no talent. And they think its fair that one of the UNFAIRLY voted out contestants (especially Amelia since her performance was one of the best that night and she has massive talent) get another chance.

Oh look! Another "I'll never vote again" thread

If you're not going to vote, don't. What's the point in boasting about it on an internet forum?

Ugh.

It is not a "twist" that Frankie is gone. He's gone because he broke the rules and possibly the law. His leaving has messed up the schedule of the show, so they need another contestant to avoid the show ending a week early (or having to have a week where no-one is voted off the show).

As for them bringing back acts that were voted out fair and square; these acts were not voted out. They were removed without a public vote. Now the public are being given the opportunity to vote for one of them to replace Frankie. That's fairer than the producers just deciding who goes back in.

If you voted for Frankie and are upset your votes have gone to waste, take it up with Frankie. If he'd taken his position seriously, he'd still be there. As it is, you got what you voted for.

None if us has anything to take up with Frankie - if he'd "taken his position seriously" he'd not have been Frankie in the first place. Not taking his position as a show contestant seriously was both an element in endearing him to his fans and a part of his remit. A Frankie giving, as is the standard boast, 100% effort to his time on X Factor is a barely imaginable monster...

Then I hope you're not one of the people complaining that your voting expenses were wasted because you chose to vote for someone who didn't take the competition seriously, then.

It's Frankie's fault he was booted from the show, so logically if anyone has a complaint about wasted votes, the complaint is against Frankie.

The exact reason Amelia never got through in the first place was because she would be getting votes over Kitty.

Unless we are being completely cynical and they double bluffed us and knew at some point Frankie would be kicked out and Amelia would return and be the new younger version of Kitty and it was all a set up. that would be one hell of a conspiracy, although not beyond the realms of the producers

Matter of opinion there - it looks to quite a few of us as though he was living up to the script, and indulging his nature a little at the same time. All fine by me. Does anyone think that if Craig (say) happened to say with production staff present that he'd been out taking coke... I am not of course for a moment suggesting that he ever has... the response would have been to chuck him off the show? I'm pretty sure we'll have seen quite a few cocaine users on the X Factor stage by now, and whether any off-stage conversations are made public or used in any way is up to the people who hear them.

In any case, my total expenses in Frankie's cause have been shamefully meagre - something in the region of £2.52 over three shows I think - and it hasn't occurred to me to complain to anyone about that, I've had good value from it.

Fully agree. That is why he got votes. People don't seem to get it.

I'm amazed anybody still votes at all after the contempt the voters were treated with at the semi final last year. That should have been a big enough clue to anyone.

Your problem? It's a discussion forum, not a support network or agony aunt-style helpline. People talk about things, that's all. If you happen to work for the show any mass exodus of voters may be a problem for you, but otherwise it just isn't. Nobody ever suggested it was

Roflmao - Post of the day.

Dear OP - you sound like this is the first year you've ever watched it.

Once upon a time the manipulation was cleverly hidden, now its so blatant even a child can see whats going on and the more the GBP continue to watch it the longer we will have to suffer it. so if "we" feel put out / disgruntled/ hacked off or whatever we only have ourselves to blame cos if we turned it off we wouldn't have to suffer it - would we.

No way would I vote for this farce, Amelia should have been in instead of the terminally boring Janet, or Sophie who never managed to sing in tune, but that is not the point, none of the four have earned their right to walk back in at this stage, it is not fair on the ones who have left, especially Jonny, and the ones who have survived don't derserve to have to compete against people who didn't even make it past the first show.

They should either bring Jonny back or live without the voting money for a week, or like they did on American Idol have the right not to boot someone out if they want to keep both of the bottom two one week.
