Unfortunately they don't have any integrity left.

Quick question, do we know if the winning returnee will automatically get a place on the X Factor Tour?

They could give the money to the Rhythmix charity that they tried to screw over (and were still trying to screw over, even after the whole thing had been 'resolved')

Quick answer. Nobody has the faintest idea any more including the producers of the show. The are staggering from one crisis to the next and making it up as they go along.

The problem there is that you used 'X-Factor' and 'integrity' in the same sentence!

That should never happen unless 'integrity' is preceded by 'lack of'.

I'd say it's fixed beyond all fixedness.

They realised a couple of weeks ago that Cokenozza was not only rubbish, but a loose cannon and wished they'd kept Amelia in instead, so the entire fiasco has been engineered with as much publicity (which equals as much revenue) as possible.

They made sure Frankie was let loose on the town every single night, couldn't wait to tell the viewers that he'd only had half an hours sleep, photographed him pissed up and partying with women, sacked him for that, pretended to ponder on what to do next, and now they're going to fix it for Amelia to come back because she's like a little Katy Perry and will make more money for them in a month than Cokenozzer could shove up his nose in a year.

They should just have accepted the drop in viewers from a non elimination weekend with some dignity, instead of this desperate, farcical scramble to maintain ratings that only serves to ruin whatever creditability the show still had up to this point.

Vote for who you want to join the show.

For Jedward call 01335 123451
For Chico call 01335 123452
For Wagner call 01335 123453
For Shayne Ward call 01335 123454

(this is a joke)

This is going to be car crash TV, if the judge are going to have to stand with each act and beg for votes, omg how sad is this.. I want to know if it is ONLY a public VOTE and someone needs to clarify that, no changes on the night, no judges saying who is through, or Simon arriving choosing or something even more stupid.. I will vote as I want James back, and dont normally vote at all, but I want to know that no one is going to then interfere, mind you thats a laugh how do I know they don't fix the votes!

Of course why not, they are replacing Frankie, one who is no longer on the tour but was supposed to be.

it comes with the territory

I get why they are bringing someone back, having an act down will mess with the show schedule and make the final a mess.

But I don't think they should have reverted to these 4, it should have been from the recently rejected; say the last 2 or 4 to exit.

This way just seems a bit arse over tit to me, they haven't generated fan bases, it's all bias in one acts favour, we are half way through now and the have only performed once.

They are risking the returnee potentially winning (it's slim imo, but possible) and if that happened I think it would be very shambolic.

The show needs to learn to take the rough with the smooth and not try and boost ratings in such extreme ways as all it will lead to is people saying 'sod it, this is just stupid now' and tunin out.

With the voice coming along they should be aiming to make the show look credible again; if you break the illusion of a legitimate talent contest on a talent show I'd say it's pretty much screwed.

I take it the four are rehearsing just in case they're picked and the act voted to stay will perform on Sat.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from Mr Cowell.

Maybe he is happy to see X Factor UK implode as it is a good excuse to scrap it and start again. He seems to have distanced himself from this series altogether.

"They will also be taking questions from the press about this last-minute twist, the exit of Frankie Cocozza and more."
