Does anyone else feel that this whole thing was planned from the start and that was why four people had to be voted off the first week as the producers had already planned to get someone voted off a few weeks down the line to bring back a previous act to try and get viewers. I think this has now backfired on the producers as they may continue to lose viewers.

What does everyone else think.

It would not surprise me if the producers knew this could happen and kept the 4 'in reserve', I don't think they actually intended to do this though.

I'd say if anything they were prepared for it.

I think you're giving the producers too much credit for having intelligence they clearly don't have. This year has been a shambles and it was really the only option they had without triggering complaints to ofcom.

Absolute shower.

I agree, this is to negative even for the X-factor.

...there's certainly something a little odd and contrived about someone who was given the opportunity afforded cocozza,so publicly pressing the self destruct button for some booze and a piece of skirt...

I would agree with this except for the whole business of Frankie appearing in the M&S advert, which then had to be re-edited after he left the show.

Even if we accept that the M&S ad was always going to be altered as the weeks went by to reflect who remained in the competition, it seems a stretch too far to believe that M&S would co-operate with a scheme to bring about the pre-planned scandalous departure of a contestant.

But why would you assume that M&S would have to be in on it?

It's all looking a little too suspicious that Amelia had odds on her winning even before there was any indication that Frankie was going to be pulling out of the competition.

Also, why haven't the four eliminated contestants signed management deals, etc, as other eliminated contestants have since leaving the show?

There are just too many things pointing to this having been planned from the start.

Ok, people can stop trying to think the X Factor producers are the NWO. Take it to a conspiracy forum or something.

I don't believe it's a set up because of Amelia's anti-X Factor rant a few weeks ago.

But, dont you think its strange that James and Amelias vocals have been used for the Marks and Spencer ad? along with the other 7? Or was that just a huge coincidence? That ad was first played before Frankie went too.

Yeah, i think rather than it all being part of some big game plan, it was just a contingency that they had discussed amongst others.

I doubt if it was all thought up on the spur of the moment in the last 48hrs

Something rotten in the studios of Xfactor

I wouldn't mind any of it so much if it wasn't all about the money money money.

I feel like kids are being ripped off left right and centre, having to vote for this, that and the other.

It's not a talent show any more. It's just one gigantic rip off.

All of the others are in it and sing in it as well. 2 shoes are shown singing.

Yes the thought has indeed occurred to me. Could it be that rather than wanting to get rid of Amelia they actually wanted to make sure that she won the show - and generate maximum publicity in the process. Strange the way she has kept in the public eye, all the stuff with Frankie, Tulisa bringing her a cake and everything. Only saying, but of course it could equally be a cock up - or become another huge one if another act gets back in the show.

It was all planned, this is obvious

To be honest, I haven't been keeping track of the M&S ad since accidentally glimpsing Frankie in it over the weekend - quite put me off watching!

I think it's entirely down to the producers, this has been planned meticulously from the out set, Frankie was happy to be a plant and play along, he's done OK out of it.

Trouble is they've slipped up and taken it all too far, the show might not recover from this series.

Frankie looks too happy for my liking for this not to have been planned. Just how has he gone and got an agent, signed to already sing a gig, surely this is against his contract whether booted out or not.

No other year have they had four waiting in the wings so why this year? Why have they not signed management deals as has been pointed out, others have already having left the show.

If they want Amelia back then all I can say is they will get her back, if James (the one I think most likely to rival her) gets more votes it will be a sing off with the judges choosing, as no one has stated that will not happen, which is why I keep asking for the rules on this from this dire shower of a show.. tell us exactly how this works, not just tell us part of it.

Yesterday it was announced the winner of the vote would be announced as the show started at 8.15 that is now not the case, why cos they have suddenly realised that she may not sail into the show, someone else might.

Frankie has not even been removed from the M&S ad he is still in the group shot, and his voice is still there as well, not sure what M&S are playing around at to be honest with you, this is damaging to their squeaky clean image.

It for me was a set up from the very start, the producers choose who was going through and the judges lied through their back teeth that they had.. to the point of saying they had changed their minds, only made them up hours before, it is all a farce.. Simon Cowell was pulling the strings not the judges, and he is still pulling the strings, he always has.

Yep. Didn't really believe it before, but can't help but think it's a set up. It's just all fit it a bit too well.

If it is a set up they have done a sterling job of making it look like an out of control mess.
