Amelia- story of an underdog
Wayfarers
10-11-2011
And she's been under some dogs if we're to believe the Frankie stories. Anyhow if she makes a comeback and then goes on to win will people; a) cheer her journey from loser to winner, b) begrudge her her win over other acts who survived from week 1 or c) marvel at the engineering of Syco to give we the viewers a saga no Hollywood hack could pull off with a straight face. It'll be like 'Slumdog Millionaire' meets 'Rocky' meets 'A Star is Born' albeit with mediocre singing, bad pink hair and blubbering at 4 in the morning outside in a car park.

No, Frankie was the true underdog, people already know and like her and support her

I would go for option B. Many will resent her.

She has been kept in the public eye for a pretty long time. The others have vanished into thin air and even those booted off after her including Sami and Sophie have wandered off into the sunset whereas Amelia has been in the papers pretty regularly and on her Twitter non bloody stop.

Exactly, how can she be an underdog then? She already has the support

I'm being totally facetious ffs! I think its just so controlled and engineered it reads like something from a bad teen flick about overcoming adversity. Cute little blonde girl gets the boot from a talent show despite having a huge following, weeks down the line she's brought back and goes on to win. Miley Cyrus could play the lead role, its that predictable. Clearly the irony was lost in my initial post.

It was not lost on me and I totally agree with you, talk about engineered.. Simon did not want another Will Young shock, he has his winner picked and Amelia is it, this way she is not out in the early rounds, has been kept in the limelight, and now floats back in to win everyone over, except she will not win me over as the person who should be back in this show is James Michael, he was robbed of the place in Barlows category not Amelia..
