Regardless of the merits of the acts up for the current vote, if we assume that Amelia Lily gets the win, we then have five female acts and two male. While it may be the year for a female winner (and I wouldn't argue with that), if Marcus and Craig go soon , will ITV get the ratings they want with an all female final? Just a thought.

Makes a change from the usual all male finals or the occasional token female finalist we usually get.

Ok, so ignoring the merits of the acts you say? Just looking at the gender/sexuality alone? Well ... would I, as a man, prefer to watch:

(1) pretty girls
(2) gay boys.

Give me a tenth of a microsecond to think about that please....

But joking aside, and the merits of the acts considered, I would love to see an Amelia vs Janet Vs Kitty final (I know that won't happen), I'd really enjoy it and almost not mind too much who won as there are some benefits to being a non-winning finalist (likely to get a record contract of some kind but more likely to have freedom from the Cowell-yoke).

But were it a Marcus/Craig/LittleMix/Misha/any of the other rejects final (pick any you like), I wouldn't tune in, I'd just check the DS front page the next day to see who won.

Well, I think the public would. I'm not really interested in the male singers, myself. If it were Kitty Vs Amelia Vs Mischa, that'd just be flippin' amazing for me, personally.

I wouldn't mind an all female final, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that either Marcus or Craig will be there. Keep in mind that neither have been in the bottom two, while Misha and Kitty have both been there.

I'm sure ITV doesn't care which acts are in the final, as long as Janet is one of them.

It will make the competition more interesting if amelia returns , as at the moment it looks like both craig and marcus in the final , with just one girl .
