No,it wouldn't.To sing it "right" you need a clear effortless toned as well as powerful belt range,rich lower register, and at least 3 octaves singable range. I have a freakishly huge range and can belt like Claire Tory,and that song still requires a lot effort because of the dynamics and subtle nuances in it.In fact,"big" Whitney/Celine/Leona " ballads are a walk in the park in comparison.
I'm not saying none of the contestants are as good,or that they can't singchallenging songs,just not that one.It's not about how good a singer is. It's that you either have the range and pipes/voice type for it or you don't,and if you don't ,it's a choice of headvoice or shout,both of which don't sound nice on a song with the vocal melody as lead and not even words to hide behind.
