I wonder if once Simon returns from his XFUSA jaunt and sits down to watch the UK's stint from start to finish, he will ensure that henceforth this year's season be forever considered as the benchmark that all his future TV shows must NOT be comparable to or exceed. After all, for a show so focused on 'golden rules', it seems to have broken all of its own at least twice. I can just imagine, a week or so before production is due to start for next year's BGT and XF, Simon will sit the production team down and force them to endure this year in all its shambolic glory, to the point where its emblazoned behind their eyelids forevermore as 'The Yardstick of Evil'
