Cheryl Cole Duet With Gary Barlow for Children In Need

“Cheryl hasn't done much TV this year at all and it has been a while since she sang live on stage," a source told The Sun.

"She has been busy in the studio working on her next album so her voice is in good condition but she wanted to get some serious time together with Gary before next week. They will have a big section together on stage at the MEN. It is going to be special.”

They should duet for X Factor In Need, it would be more appropriate!

Good for Cheryl, I look forward to seeing her sing with Gary!

Love them both!

Has her voice improved or will she be miming again?

i like how they 'sang live on stage' yh right we've all seen the x factor pre-recorded/mimimg performance but good on her any one doing anything for charity is good

I wondered when she was going to raise her ugly voice again, should have known it would be off the back of Xfactor.

These celeb people are like virues.

Probably rehearsing for her return to the XF next year too.

Ugh, as much as I love Gary, I don't think I can put my ears through it. She'll either mime or sound absolutely awful and both scenarios would annoy me.

Here is her last CIN duet - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OdAxgm-THw

And she has got nothing to promote by doing this.

God, I shudder to think what her definition of voice being in good condition is. She mimed her way through both her X Factor performances of Fight For and Promise This (both great songs but still, she was a judging popstars on various things including vocals) on the premise that her knicker/cleavage flashing routines were too strenuous. The one time she did sing live I think was "The Promise" with Girls Aloud in her first season and even then she was the worst of the five

Gary Barlow is running Children in Need Rocks this year, which is what she'll be performing at, so Michael Buble, Coldplay, JLS, elbow, Lady Gaga, snow patrol, n dubz are all doing it off the back of The X-Factor as well as far as your concerned I'm guessing?

Like cm1992 said, she has nothing to promote from doing this, which is what the typical copy and paste response from the usual lazy posters say at some point. Funnily enough, Snow Patrol and JLS both have new albums out on Monday and the Take That Live DVD comes out the Monday after the gig, yet Cheryl, who has nothing coming out, is the one doing it for promotion

She was good when she performed with Snow Patrol so perhaps with the right song she will do well again.

Hiding behind another singer for a 'live' performance...what a surprise.

It's nice of her to do CIN, but couldn't she do something else like present as singing obviously isn't her strong point.

It has been comfirmed by Gary's PR on twitter.

We can confirm Gary will be performing with the lovely Cheryl Cole at next Thursday's @BBCCiN Rocks show in Manchester. EXCITING!”

Guess what, even though you hate Cheryl Cole, there are a lot of people who enjoy all of her performances, from the stand-in-one-place live singing with Snow Patrol type to the lipsyncing-put-on-a-big-production type .... and make no mistake, if Cheryl's performing, all eyes will be on her on the night and everyone will be going crazy in the press until then discussing her "return" to TV.

They enjoy the performances yes, but I'm not sure the same could be said for the singing
