I have recently started to become a big fan of this band. I bought Definitely Maybe on my birthday last month and it is an awesome album.

Good thread... also been listening to both sides music, Noels and Liams... prefer Noels new solo stuff but don't mind Beady Eye.

Noels gig at the MEN Arena supposed to have been good... still miss Oasis though, one of the few bands that can sell our stadiums.

I'm going through another Oasis phase. Best band ever!.

What's everyone's favourite album?. I'd say Definitely Maybe or The Masterplan. I've fallen out of love with Be Here Now at the moment. Morning Glory is great once in a while but it's become overplayed.

Slide Away is criminally underrated.

It probably would be more known if it was released as a single instead of shakermaker.

Some Oasis songs have come to mean a bit more to me since Noel Gallagher's High-Flying Birds had my fave song of 2011 (with AKA What a Life).

My fave Oasis single was The Importance of Being Idle, followed by The Hindu Times.

Bonehead part of recent interview:

He said: “I didn’t walk out of Oasis. I drove out in the car. We had reached the heights, but I wasn’t enjoying it. The fun had gone. The more I thought about it, the more I realised that if I went on tour I’d be lying to the band and the fans.“You can’t be a member of Oasis and not give 100 per cent. We should have called it a day when we did Knebworth. That was the ultimate peak. We should have bowed out. The spark had faded and it was time to go.”
But he admits he would join Oasis if the Gallagher brothers ever decided to reform the original line-up. “I’m not for bands getting back together for the sake of it,” said Bonehead. “If a band is finished, a band is finished. But if Oasis did get back together and asked me, I would be up like a shot. I’d play with them but I don’t think that’ll happen.”

Can't help but feel he may have a point, Oasis were loved by everyone right up until 1997. When Be Here Now came along there was abit of a decline, had they taken a break... cleaned themselves of the drugs, took a few years to take time on a new album, they would be tagged "underrated" instead of "overrated". Could of had another album as good as WTSMG/DM if they had cared more, they would of eventually truly cracked America also, Wonderwall took off in the states... everyone waited for BHN and said well "What's coming next?" and it wasn't a patch on WTSMG.

Can't believe this was never released by Oasis... song called Take Me (demo) written by Liam & Bonehead.

Before Noel joined the band.

Be Here Now has it's flaws but I probably listen to it the most out of any Oasis album. Especially Fade In Out, which they rocked the **** out of live.

I definitely think the b sides Going Nowhere and Stay Young should have been on the album.

On this very day 14 years ago in 1998, Liams bad behavior on a flight to Hong Kong got himself banned from Cathay Pacific Airlines.

Good stuff, must be the most successful album since Be Here Now I imagine... think people were glad to finally see him do a solo album.

He also got the Godlike Genius Award few days ago, just saw this video on youtube... hilarious, nearly pissed myself seeing him milk it for all it's worth when he was called up. I just wish something similar had happened at the Brits, the arrogance is brilliant.

Listened to the Be Here Now album today. Let's just say I can see what people mean when they say it wasn't their best moment.

Thought this was pretty amusing...

"At my grandma's in Mayo we'd run around throwing stuff at cows. See, we don't get cows in Manchester, so if you see one you just throw stuff at them. I'm looking forward to bringing my sons over so they can throw stuff at cows as well."

Not gone down well with PETA at all

Do they still do classic Oasis stuff at their gigs since the split?

Noel had Supersonic and wonderwall both acoustic on the setlist... but this month has removed wonderwall and stuck whatever acoustic on it. He always plays Don't look back in anger at the end. He said he won't play the likes of Cigs.& Alc or rock n roll star because they lean more towards Liam.

As for Liam (Beady Eye)... they not played any, Liam said in a recent interview they are going to start playing them. It will be interesting to see which of those he picks.

I reckon they will be back on the road together sooner than we think, Noel said they both spoke over the phone at Christmas and they've stopped taking shots at each other for the past few months.

If the WTSMG reunion does go ahead in 2015, It'll be huge... Roger Daltrey seems to think it will be big aswell. We've not heard a full album played live for a long time and I think fans are getting restless... especially as we not heard any rock music like Oasis in a while. There just isn't much out there right now for fans to get into.

I hope Sony go ahead and release a DVD of Knebworth in 2012, stupid that there isn't one already... such a historic gig should be out there.
