Here's the video of the performance for Don't Look Back In Anger... incredible stuff, looked like he enjoyed that and still managed to continue when the flare was on stage.

no way!!!

fair enough Noel playing Oasis stuff, cos he wrote it, - but Beady Eye I'm not so sure (although I doubt I'd be complaining if I was there :L )

I guess they realised that not enough people would be interested in just their new stuff

They also played a new song, not sure what it is... for their own sake I hope it's good as their album was crap.

Meanwhile, Noel has two new songs... one is quite old, I remember hearing part of it on the dvd in a soundcheck from 2005.

Someone seems to have recorded the soundchecks and got a good quality of them on youtube.

God help us all:

It makes me wanna cry:

I think he would be stupid not to release "It makes me wanna cry"... it sounds something quite special.

Just listened to both, very good

Am I right in thinking he's released 5 singles from his album now then?

Think so, I think Dream On was not all that great... I heard it played live on tv with an audience in front of him belting out the lyrics and it sounded class, the version on the album was a let down though.

Just been watching Noel's T in the Park highlights - truly excellent, he even did Whatever

They've uploaded the AA remix of AKA What A Life... personally, I think it's all abit pointless. It'll make naff all impact on the charts and it's no wonder Noel scrapped the AA album.

Yup, he said in an interview the album sounded awful... and a few months back he said he may take a two year break. Not sure that will happen though, those two songs posted a while back will probably be put out by him at some stage.

Not usually a fan of the Wonderwall covers... the Ryan Adams one was the best, but this one was also pretty good. It's the Ryan Adams version with a female vocalist called Tristan Prettyman.

Took me be surprise anyway.

yea I saw that

I presume that he was there to promote himself, and that some producer asked "oh what do you think of this" so he said something nice

must be going soft in his old age

Rumours knocking about Liam is to perform at the Olympics closing ceremony tonight... he could potentially butcher a classic if he's not careful about this.

I just hope for his own sake his vocals are good... the media will rip right into anyone who doesn't sound good tonight. Wonderwall isn't the most difficult song in the Oasis catalogue, if he's actually prepared for it this time round as he hasn't sang it in ages... then all should go smoothly.

Noel was there at the stadium yesterday, but apparently he doesn't want to perform... shame as DLBIA would be perfect for the event.

Well i'm abit baffled, Liam set to perform but Noel happens to be sat in the stands? Certain it's the Olympic stadium aswell as you can see the track and those lights next to each seat.

He was also at Villa park so guessing he went from one to the other... can't understand why he wouldn't want to perform.

Noel in an interview yesterday after the gig.

"I was asked to do it a long time ago and... to be frank.. they were being so secretive about it," he explained.

"I was like... 'who else is playing?' and they were like 'we can't tell you, you've got to sign a confidentiality agreement' - it's like it's the Iran nuclear programme or something.

"I mean what do they think is going to happen? ITV are going to get hold of it and put on a gig the night before with the same bill?!

"And then they wanted me to do it acoustically and then they wanted me to mime... and I'm all for miming in TV shows - I'm all for that - but if you're in a stadium with 80,000 people and you're pretending? I can play live! One of the organisers... I said [to him] 'why do you want me to mime?' and he said 'it's a big gig'. Really?! I do this shit for a living!'"

"In the end, I was just like... you know what I'd rather watch it on the telly."

He also performed D'ya wanna be a spaceman and Angel Child

Noels album is doing ridiculously well.

Estimated to have sold around 1.1-1.2 million worldwide so far.

He's currently sat 22 in the midweeks also.

14th most popular album so far in 2012 despite being released last year.

That is good, - why is it appearing the charts again now though?

On a side note: Definitely Maybe was released 18 years ago today

Think it's just a good album, only song I don't play on it is Stop The Clocks. Done incredibly well considering Radio 1 won't play him, Noel said they won't play his songs because he's 45... but he understands as he has had his go. He's also done little promotion.

Regardless of all that though, Noel still remains one of the biggest artists in the UK... Oasis have a huge following and it's just gained more fans with the solo album. He's scrapped the AA album though so not sure if we'll see much soon.

On another note, I think Beady Eye may have something special for their next album... I think the bashing they got after Noels success will have given them a kick up the arse, DGSP was a lazy effort.

I didn't think it was that bad at the time, but after Noel's album came out it put it in a new light, I think at the time I was just desperate for something Oasis related

Noel's album really is great, and It's nearly a year since it was released now

It's gone up 2 spots to #22 this week.

Incredible stuff, he's currently in Cardiff for the UK tour.

Just played a huge gig at Wembley Arena two days ago.

Noel gave an interview last night to Nation Radio in Cardiff last night after the gig... they asked him about Liams comments on the possible Oasis 2015 reunion to mark the 20th anniversary or WTSMG.

He sounded pretty pissed off...

Host: "There is a possibility he thinks that you guys could get together in say three years time to mark the 20th anniversary of WTSMG..."

Noel: "Well he shouldn't have f*cking tried to sue me should he?"

Host: "So that's never gonna happen?"

Noel: "Not even if all the starving children in the world depended on it... I know it's the done thing these days and what people do but it's not what I do, I can understand bands reforming and they're bigger than they ever were and now more successful and we couldn't be anymore successful than we ever were. We were one of the five biggest bands at any given time and the biggest thing to come out of England in 35 years so... what would we be doing it for? The fans? No one ever gave a shit about the fans in that band... so it's done, it's done."

Sounds alot like they've argued again... it all calmed down for a while but tempers flared again recently.

That would explain Liam's tweet by the sounds of it then he's up for it, but I reckon that's only because he knows Noel's solo efforts are better than his.
