It's Liams 40th birthday today.

And there was a good article in The Sun from Gordon Smart who has known both brothers for years. I've always said if there was one character in the music industry who was truly misunderstood it was probably Liam.

The general opinion is that Liam is some loudmouthed idiot... yet those who say that are always the ones that have never actually met him. I'm not going to say he's not being himself, but there's a big sense of paranoia with Liam... and it all stems from the 90s where Noel got all the praise and Liam got a bashing on a daily basis.

I've always thought that his aggression is partly to do with this "everyone is out to get me" attitude... so for that reason he's always pretty defensive apart from the time he's away from the media. I've not heard anyone have a bad run in with him.

Noels album still going strong.

712K in the UK - 1.2million worldwide.

Q Mag says 1.5 million sold though. Very strong figures.

That is very impressive. It didn't get amazing reviews or anything so it's clearly been sold on what people have heard for themselves

Last time I checked, Beady Eye had only sold 130,000. Think Noel is holding all the aces now

Noels management uploaded the Freaky Teeth demo onto youtube.

Should've been the Bond theme. Adele's song seems to sound predictably dire... they usually just pick an artist based on current popularity though. She'll be simply forgotten in 15 years time.

Some teasers are knocking about for Noels new DVD.

Thoughts on Beady Eye's album?

Pretty damn average it has to be said. It sounded alright on first listen, but it was all pretty forgettable. Heard a new track last month that will probably be on their next album which sounded good. World not set in stone.

I've always said Noels a great songwriter, but he's plenty of cock-ups when it comes to choosing which songs go on the album... the biggest one of them all was when it came to The Masterplan which he made as a b-side and left it off WTSMG.

He's done it again though, this sounds completely different to the stuff he puts out... yet for some reason he left it off again

Anyone get tickets in the lottery for Shepards Bush gig next month?

I just go an email saying I'm on the reserved list and can book from Wednesday, but apparently some people have booked tickets already??

No idea i'm afraid. Didn't apply myself.

I'm both excited and annoyed at the moment,

I'd love to go, but it doesn't look like I'm guaranteed a ticket even though I'm on this reserve list, Luckily I do have a day off on Wednesday so I can sit there at 1pm to try

Beady Eye were back in the studio today... Gems missus let it drop on twitter. They simply have to deliver otherwise they really will look like cocks.

Problem with Liam was his fixation with the beatles sound and everything in the 60/70s. I think it'll be good though, turns out the producer is Dave Sitek. Worked with a few indie bands. I think they'll have alot more updated sound this time.

Also,

Noel will be on Alan Carr's Chatty Man and it airs November 23rd @ 10pm. Other guests are Rhod Gilbert and Paul O'Grady. Also includes performance.

Well the show was brilliant

He played 'Idlers Dream' which was a nice moment

Well... he's kind of buggered off for good now. So it's over to Beady Eye again, they have to deliver something good.

One bonus is that Roger Daltrey said this morning that Noel has been handed the role of curator for the Teenage Cancer Trust for 2013 whilst Roger is on tour. So if we're lucky, we may get to see him perform again... he'll be responsible for putting together acts for the concert.

I'm intrigued as to who he'll get as it's got to run across all genres of music.

Pissing hell,

but that's still not as much as what the rolling stones were charging, and at least this goes to a good cause
