i agree about Robbie Williams too, most overated "singer" (loosest possible term) of all time

poor voice, poor mans Freddie Mercury stage presence and rips off Oasis songs

As Noel Gallagher said "bless poor little Robbie, he never quiet gets it right does he...one week hes an alcoholic, the next week hes depressed...then the weekend after hes a coke addict.....that boy wants to be Liam so hard is embarrassing"

Yes Will Young is overated but I would say there is a few that fall into that category. Dido especially grates me, and Robbie Williams is not a great singer and has only done about two decent songs.

But Liam has achieved what image he wanted - mouthy arrogant and cocky

Despite Robbies various attempts at sculpturing and imange everyone still sees him as a joke, a karaoke singer and a fat former boy band member who will never have the street cred he yearns for

This has got to be one of the most pointless threads I have read to date. To be perfectly honest, I don't know why one of the Mods hasn't shut down this post is it is "He said she said". Oh and before anyones says it, I know that I didn't have to keep reading, but I was curious to see how childish some of the poster here would get.

I like Will Young andto be honest I also like many other including Robbie Williams. I am not a Oasis fan, but don't feel the need to calling people sadds etc if someone tells me they do.

Just out of interest, what was the main reason for starting this thread? Was it to try and start an argument, (which it has), or for a constructive discussion.

Finally, Will had more votes then Gareth when he won Pop Idol, so that must say something. With Gareth, even though he didn't win, you have to wonder how many multiple votes he got from the same 10 to 17 year olds.

its a forum,so i wanted to say i think will young is over rated end of.your just a will young fan and bitter cos some people realy dont like him,as i said winning means nothing.
Michelle McManus won the last pop idol and she is crap to,so who gives you the right to tell people what topics to do.i think you just come on to cause trouble.

I love his voice and the way he portrays himself , very down to earth and a great sense of humour

what sence of humour,i hate is voice,but if we all liked the same people life would be boring.

Not a huge fan of Will's music but he seems a genuine guy and far more worthy of producing songs than Gareth or Michelle McDuffer. As for the Robbie comments: granted he's not the greatest singer in the world but having seen him at Milton Keynes (against my better judgement, I might add) he was the consumate entertainer.

I don't think so - but I'd suggest you keep sweeping generalisations about a nation like that to yourself.

This thread has obviously caused enough interest for plenty of replies, I am sure offensive posts and posts that are libelous will be removed. Why remove a complete thread because you don't like it?

It is not because I don't like it, however, IMHO I felt that there was very little construvtive debate or coments and more back biting. As such I just felt rather then let these sort of schoolchild name calling and insulting go on, that it may be a way to stop it getting out of hand..

I think album sales and tour sales go to show he has millions of fans out there. You dont like him... so what...why do u have to diss him. Theres plenty of much worse singers/ bands out there who havent sang a note live in their lives. Least Will sings live and co-writes songs and having been to see him in concert on 3 occasions sounds fantastic

When Will was on Pop Idol i didn't like him at all and was gutted when he won.

But he's proved himself to be a star. Bought the first album and liked it, Bought the second album and just loved it.

Have now got tickets to see him in sheffield on the 1st of december and cannot wait.
