Things Are Getting Beyond A ****ing Joke
Well I have to say just when you think things were bad, could it get any worse, it certainly has. I don’t know about others but I’m almost to the point of tuning out. Never thought I’d say this but I’m almost wishing Simon was back. Then again, I still say a lot of this is through him. So let’s see what has happened so far (in no particular order):
- Goldie drops out of the live shows and Sami brought back (yay) - Big twist and judges have to vote off one act each in the first week - Ratings drop and is beaten by Strictly - Johnny accused of being a benefits cheat (repeat of Wagner scandal last year) - Kitty accused of being a racist - Misha accused of bullying - Derry has a criminal record - Ashley leaves The Risk and Ashford replaces him from NuVibe - Rhythmix changes their name because of some charity that no one’s heard of using the same name - Tulisa and Kelly fallout - Kelly is sick with a throat infection (supposedly) and can’t fly back from LA and misses a week - Gary and Louis at war - Frankie axed for allegedly taking coke - One of the four rejects from live show one to replace Frankie. Don’t like the new twist. They should have just null and voided last week’s eliminations or carried the votes over. - Gary blames everyone for Frankie’s demise (Gary is just an a*** hole but then he is a David Cameron supporter so what do you expect.) Only one person responsible, Frankie. - Louis is not enjoying the show and may quit next year (if he goes I ain’t watching again) Also, heard Craig and Janet walked out but they were convinced to stay. Have Little Mix changed their name again? On X Factor updates, they are referred to as New Mix in a poll. Can this get any worse? Things seemed OK until this spice up the show because ratings are falling. What a shambles this year has been! If Gary and Kelly are still here next year, no way am I watching. Keep Louis and Tulisa; bring in Alexandra Burke and another male artist, maybe Shayne Ward. |

Pretty much agree with all of that, would love to see Tulisa return next season and without Louis the only thing they can do is bring back Sharon imho as you need entertainment on the show
![]() If they had Shayne Ward as a judge I'd switch off though

The big problem with this mess is, what standard of contestants is this going to attract for next year? Only the crazy will audition now after this mess.

To be fair, X Factor has always been a joke.

I was nodding and agreeing all the way until you mentioned Alexandra Burke.
Pretentious self important bint. Nothankyou.com ![]() I think this series has been a shambles. None of the contestants have the wow factor and Simon is a huge hole to fill. GB just doesn't cut the mustard, especially seeing as much of his comments are written for him. What happens if he has crap things written down and the contestant does an outstanding job ? I have watched every series, but this may well be the last for me. |

Next Year move X Factor to a much earlier kids spot in the afternoon, in line with its tantrums and less than demanding content. Get Pepsi instead of Coke involved to sponsor.
Get rid of Dermot with Michaela Strachan. New Judges to replace Barlow and Rowland. Zippy, Miss Piggy http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=zip...t:429,r:12,s:0 http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgur...9QEwAQ&dur=170 |

It's a right mess and they're not helping the situations by bringing back one of the first eliminated four acts by the judges. It's just making more of a mess of the whole show, it's not gonna suddenly bring in the ratings or anything, they need Cheryl and Simon back and they need to get rid of Kelly and Gary ASAP.

They might as well have persuaded Goldie to stay, as no one seemed interested voting for Sami.
She might have given us a laugh, at least. But yeah, total shambles this year. |

As to Simon, he is a hypocrite and stuck two fingers up at the British Public last year, knowing full well he'd done deals with certain people to get the X Factor launched in the USA. He's now got fixed a further year over there, he has no interests in wasting his personal time over here. |

User Cheryl I married a footballer called Cole, has no credibility anymore. For me she is that lonely unloveable girl in a Hotel Room eating biccy's in America. She is synonymous with and will forever be linked to autotuning. She has no right whatsoever to comment on the talent or not of a Singer. A Faker or Frankie type maybe.

The acts he was involved in before X Factor were strictly bargain basement cover singers like West Life and Robson and Gerome. Granted, he knew how to make easy money, but he hardly gifted the world with a great undiscovered talent. |

Being a X Factor judge is more about being a good TV personality than anything else though, which both Simon and Cheryl are good at, Tulisa, Kelly and Gary, seemingly less so. Most of us sitting at home can tell who sang well and who didn't, who "smashed it."

I doubt that bringing Simon and Cheryl back would make one iota of difference. The problem isn't with the judges (Gary's decision making re: Frankie aside) - it's with the way the show is run. From the frankly exploitative Ceri Reece audition, to the putting through of Goldi and Frankie, the withdrawal of Goldi, the week 1 twist, weekly dramas about supposed bullying/racism/benefit fraud...etc, the booting out of Frankie and the bringing back of the week 1 contestants, the whole thing has been an absolute farce!

And NO to that foul-mouthed, spiteful, jealous Sharon Osbourne who is full of bile and hatred for any female judge younger than herself. Horrible woman. |

The talent is mediocre, the stage productions and styling a mess, the judges have little or zero credibility and the song choices get worse by the year. The only thing it has going for it is the much manufactured drama and that's wearing oh so thin too.

With all the success Westlife have had over the years I wouldn't call them 'bargain basement cover singers'.
The lowest common denominator often sells well, as Simon well knows. |

I agree. I said on another thread that if Amelia doesn't top the public vote I'm sure they'll find another way of getting her back in. The show is becoming so manipulated it's hardly worth the public voting they might as well declare their winner now and be done with the pretence!
