This news just comes as her on screen brother Dennis Tanner returned May this year played by Philip Lowrie. Actress, Anne Cunningham is overjoyed to be reprising one of the original characters debuting in Episode 1 of Coronation Street on the 9th December 1960. Fellow friend, Philip Lowrie quotes : "I am so pleased that Corrie have decided to bring back my lovely on screen sister and my dear friend aswell, I can not wait until you see those return scenes - they're amazing, I can't really say anything else or if I do I'll probably get the chop or something!!" |

**Breaking News**
**BREAKING NEWS**
Duo to leave Coronation Street early next year Tyrone Dobbs and Tommy Duckworth are to leave Corrie early next year, it is reported by the Daily Mail. Producers at Granada have said "We have decided that Tyrone and Tommy are departing next year due to public dislike. They will have a low-key exit when they leave Weatherfield. Never the less, they will be missed by some viewers. Unfortuantly, Alan Halsall quit and Chris Fountain was sacked because of unacceptable behaviour outside the studios. Maybe if Molly wasn't killed off during the tram crash last year, Tyrone could have had a last chance in the show. We are very disappointed that Alan has quit after just over 13 years." Speaking of his departure, Alan spoke to us saying "I thought it was just time that I left and persued other jobs in my career." Chris quoted "I am very cross with myself, I just wish I wasn't like that outside of the show." They will depart in late Feburary/early March 2012. |

Coronation Street news
Bet Lynch is set to make a return for her friend Betty's funeral next year. Julie Goodyear is preparing for the episode and will film it in the next few weeks, whilst Raquel Watts is making a come back aswell not just for her funeral but for a long term contract. Julie Goodyear and Sarah Lancashire are both overjoyed and excited to be returning to the show they know and love. Julie quotes "I am amazed that I am returning to Corrie after 10 years nearly, I just can not wait until I start filming." Whilst Sarah says " I'm finally coming back!!! Yipee!! I am reprising my role as Raquel Watts. There is an amazing storyline ahead of me. But unfortuantly my co-worker and close friend Kevin Kennedy is not returning, which isn't very good indeed. Maybe I'll persuade the EP to lure him back soon!"
Bet Lynch will be on as a guest for the New Year episodes, and Raquel is returning full time. |
