A recording company will see that she gets a record deal. I have no worries if she doesn't get to the final. In fact I sincerely hope she doesn't win.

I think Kelly has a few record producers lined up for her.

I'm looking forward to her single next year.

I agree I don't care if she wins or not. Girl has a undeniable talent which will take her far. She will be the most successful act from this year's XF

I hope Mischa goes to America and works with the best US producers.

We need a new UK R&B artiste. I hope Kelly develops her vocals with fantastic coaches. It would be very exciting to see her career develop.

I would love her to do something with Alexander Burke or JLS

I think your right. The exposure throughout the show should be enough for her to secure a good contract. Like her or hate her - the girl is talented.

She doesn't need first place to prove this. In fact, most of the successful acts, like JLS and Jedward didn't need to win either to secure successful careers.

I really can't see her being that successful. She's going the same way as Danyl...

The difference is that Danyl wasn't that good, otherwise Syco would have invested in him, the other reason is that Danyl didn't have a fantastic Kelly as a mentor who has many US contacts

I really, really doubt all of this.

Agreed that she doesn't need to win [to win].

Her cold persona will only get her 3rd place [at best] in my IMHO anyway.

I'm absolutely convinced she'll do well, she's been the ONLY consistent contestant in the series vocal wise with absolute fantastic stage presence.

Kelly can see her potential.

Simon has a lot of US contacts, and has more influence there than Kelly. He is also in the position to offer her a recording contract.

Misha's problem will be her lack of connect with the public. It's not all about talent. If it was Rachel Hylton and Maria Lawson would have been successful.

I think Kelly will show her to Jay-Z I think he may sign her to his label

It doesn't really matter what Kelly thinks. She will have forgotten about Mischa within days of last seeing her, believe it! Kelly isn't a record label and I doubt any label would give a shit for her opinion on new talent.

Producing and marketing debut albums costs a serious amount of money, in a recession. For an X Factor contestant to have a chance of getting a deal, they will need near maximum exposure and that means reaching the semi finals at least. Last year's crop was very likely a one-off. I would not be surprised if only one or two of this year's lot ever get to make an album.

As regards Mischa specifically, I really do not agree that she's super-talented. She can sing well. Apart from that, I don't see much that she's good at.

Get these sort of threads every year and the predicted success almost never happens. Can't really see Misha doing much if she doesn't win.

Your assuming that a lot of people don't like her, same thing with Cher Lloyd last year who was hated more than Mischa. Cher is doing well

Mischa is talented - period!! and Simon sees her as money windfall. i'm sure a lot of people will buy her records whether she wins or not.

Not sure how to come back from that. I'll settle for a scrappy draw

The fact she was in the bottom two a few weeks into the competition would suggest she doesn't have much support. I don't disagree that she is the most talented act there. Just that at this stage it's too early to say she will be the most successful. I would liken Mischa to Alexandra - the most consistent act with great talent, but really needs to win to secure a good deal and investment.

And I don't think Cher is setting the music world on fire with her sales so far. In fact, there is a huge gap between the hype and her actual performance in the charts.

Of course she needs! Otherwise why isn't she famous already?

Takes more than a good voice to become a star...

I'd say Kitty and Marcus have been more consistent than Misha.

I don't think Misha will win... she can sing, but isn't anything different or special.

When I hear the M&S advert my ears prick up when I hear Janet, I think she is different, but she won't win either although for me she has a better tonal quality.

"A Steinway Piano always sounds better than a Bontempi organ no matter what song you play!"

Janet = Steinway
Misha = Bontempi

The M&S advert really separates the good from the bad. Without a doubt Misha vocally outshines the others. Her recording voice is so smooth and rich. Janet sounds hoarse and scratchy.

janet just isnt good or a versatile singer- a one trick pony. her choice of song last week backfired because she simply hasnt got it. you can't compare her to mischa who is very talented

What I hear is a grating noise from Misha and a beautiful voice from Janet. I have no idea what you have stuck in your ears.

Those are relative statements, I should add. Misha is in tune, it's her tone that is grating. But there is no comparison, Janet sounds so much better.

The phrase "one trick pony" could be applied to either of them, as they are both niche artists, but it is actually unfair in BOTH cases, because there is nothing wrong with being a niche artist (most acts are!). Really, it is a stupid phrase every time I see it used on these forums.

Misha has good stage presence and a limited amount of talent but a cold personality and no audience connection.

Janet has more talent in her little finger than Misha has in total. And a much purer, lovelier voice. Plus she is a thousand times more likeable.

Just as well, because she won't win it.

Not that I think Janet will either, but she will get further than Misha.

A bland act without the marmite factor will most likely win it.

=====

These things are, of course, all a matter of opinion, not facts.
