Been away all week, will someone answer me this...

Since one of the rejects is getting voted back on, are we still voting for the original contestants this week as well? So will someone get voted in and then someone voted out, or is this week just for the rejects?

One of the rejects gets voted in today, then tomorrow any one of the contestants (including the returning reject) could possibly be eliminated.

If the returning reject gets voted out tomorrow what a colossal waste of time and space this will all have been.

Why didnt they just have a no exit week and put on a double show? Or just have less people in the finale.

Sighs.

Because that wasn't in the script.

Fear of declining ratings and loss of advertising revenue. It's short term thinking that, long term, will only increase viewer frustration and harm whatever remains of the shows integrity.

I think they should have had a no elimination week, accepted the drop in viewers and just moved on. Crappy gimmicks and shitty twists aren't a viable alternative to producing a great show week after week.

I'm not sure this will happen. For one thing I would think the people who voted to get X back in will be watching the show and voting for them as well. In reality they might well top the vote. I'm not convinced that the performances by existing contestants over the past few weeks. have been winning them a loyal voting fanbase. Given how boring most of them have viewers have more likely become disillusioned.

Lots of people suggested this at the time - but it was felt by many - including myself that they wouldn't do this as it would put off viewers if there were no evictions and it would make for a very boring finale at Wembley ...Whereas as Frankie's exit and the subsequent chance to vote back in a rejected person has gained them a great deal of publicity and viewing figures will be up tonight - and secretly I must confess - whereas in the long run these shenanigans will consume the show ailve, at the moment it has slightly revived my interest. For a while at least ...
