Posting this here as I'm sure they won't read it:

Dear Channel 5.

I wish to complain about Aaron's disgusting treatment on Big Brother and Big Brother's Bit On The Side. Despite your best efforts to the contrary, the public spent time and money watching him, supporting him and voting him to win. To see him evicted to a chorus of boos and subjected to Brian's harsh questioning was a low moment for the series.

If that wasn't bad enough, Aaron then appeared on Bit On The Side only to be asked truly vile questions by the likes of Pete Burns. Not a single person congratulated him on his win, while Emma did her best to try and swindle him out of another £10,000. I find this completely unacceptable.

Throughout this year, the Big Brother producers seemed to be fighting against the audience at every turn - you denied us L ive F eed - an essential part of Big Brother, and filled the house with vapid Agency wannabees in a misguided attempt to turn the show into a scripted reality Geordie Shore clone.

This year, the rulebook has completely gone out of the window. Housemates were rewarded with food whether they failed the shopping task or not - giving them zero incentive to complete them. Meanwhile, Katie Price was allowed to enter and mingle with the housemates, completely violating the no contact with the outside world rule.

Even when Aaron consistently topped the online polls and survived evictions on four different occasions, the programme makers still insisted on portraying him as an evil gameplaying super-villain while lauding "genuine" housemates that defecate into kitchen appliances.

The whole show has left a very bitter taste in the mouth this year and the producers clearly have no idea of what makes a show like Big Brother work. You owe Aaron and the audience an apology. Please pull your collective heads out of the sand and give the viewers what they want next year.

Thanks.

Well written and articulate, but paragraph 5 and the last part of paragraph 2 are ridiculous. Especially the bit about trying to swindle him out of another £10k. I watched, and that clearly did not happen.

Another one for the bulging tray marked 'correspondence from the DS peeps who take their telly way too seriously'.

Maybe they'll read it out at their christmas party to get everyone loling. lol

I think they showed all sides of Aaron on the main programme. His fans seemed to take offense at any criticism he received on the spinoffs, when as last night's final proved, that kind of view was clearly not exclusive to those appearing on the programmes.

Bit on the Side's agenda is shaped by viewer opinion so an element of dislike aimed towards one of the most divisive characters from this series was to be expected. It's no great conspiracy, just what you'd expect from a fan show reflecting what people at home are saying.

Despicable?

Can we compare?

Not talking to people because you want to be alone VS shitting in kitchen appliances, rubbing arse on someones pillow, threatening to beat someone up.

Oh right yes. Aaron was the worst one.

Yes, me too. I was quite shocked that Brian was so easy on Aaron, and Emma was too in BBOTS.

The OP makes some fair points apart from the ones which are assumptions rather than fact, that is, the perceived 'bad treatment' of Aaron.

A slightly more objective complaint which deals in facts might be taken more seriously by Ch5.

Hasn't that already been explained many times over? If you didn't see, then here is my version of an explanation:

Aaron manipulated the emotions of other housemates by first of all showing affection, then withdrawing it if they did anything to displease him - and sulking for days, making sure they noticed this at all times.

He made a point of sulking and throwing tantrums when housemates were having fun, laying guilt on them by calling them 'silly' and quite obviously stomping off to the Diary Room to rubbish them.

He went from Maisy to Tom to Faye before he found a compliant, vulnerable person who would enter a 'relationship' with him. He then treated Faye with varying amounts of disdain, humiliating her, patronising her, ignoring her and over looking her. He told her he loved her but then pushed her away, he chose other housemates over Faye several times as his preferred favourites and let her know this quite obviously.

Aaron laid guilt on housemates who did altruistic (kind, generous) things for others, by accusing them of deviousness and insulting their choices. Furthermore, he went on to ignore them for days and made sure everyone suffered from his pointed silences and stomps. He glared and used aggressive body language to intimidate house mates.

Aaron threw tasks, on purpose, not caring who he affected by this; however, when other housemates failed to live up to his expectations, he insulted them and tried to lay guilt on them.

He seemed obsessed by the money and was the first to plot how to divide it out.

He threw the nominations agreement, showing that he had no respect or sensitivity for any of the housemates.

He lied, often saying he liked someone, then in the Diary Room continually dismissing all the housemates as being 'not worth talking to'. He was arrogant and patronising.

He tried to put himself in a superior position to the other housemates, morally, by continually judging them on their language, their terminology, their interests and their behaviour.

I don't have room for the rest. But there, to remind you, are some of the reasons Aaron wasn't a very nice or decent housemate. And in some people's eyes, 'despicable'

.

Good luck with that!
Do you know how many letters/emails they get like this and are dismissed as 'nutters'?

I agree with you 100% and you make perfect sense to me.. but it's not good trying to reason with his fans. All they do is gloat over his success or tear you to bits! I've been so disappointed in the forum this year. Worst it's ever been so don't waste your breath!

WOW..what a superb post, its completely how i have seen Aarons time in the house too, granted he could be pretty entertaining at times, the majority of his time was being miserable/sulking and putting guilt trips onto everyone.

Amazed he won to be honest, my first post a week ago about this years BB was titled aaron must not win and had several of your points, that he is the cleverest yet most devious housemate in there with a real disdain for other housemates even his so called love Faye, i didnt see much of him missing Faye in the past week either.

So many times i wanted to throw something at my TV because of his absurd illogical behaviour.

Even harder to reason with entrenched dislikers and embittered Jay fans.
Its a heavily edited show and none of us likers or dislikers know the guy at all.I loved him as aHm,I dont know him as a person..He could have had Maisie if he wanted her, she was all over him.Even saying they would have sex on the outside.Tom was a spin the bottle thing and he reacted like an idiot after Kissgate.

Aaron was single and could kiss who he liked.the whole thing was overblown. We know see how much was left out of the h.l's, so misleading. We never saw jem saying that stuff Aaron mentioned, how different the perception of his dislike for her would have been , if we had. What else have we not seen.

Jay fans you are getting boring and pathetic, get over it ffs, he lost and has to stew in his own poo. The most desperate Hm Imo ever on the show. There was nothing he would not do or sink to and mucky loo was no better.

Perfect Mundo seems to have insecurity issues. Seems desperate to show how clever and analytical he/she is. Hope he/she gets some help or maybe just gets over that teenage phase.

Or do you presume I'm a Jay fan?
The only person I would have supported had he stayed was Harry... so you're a bit off there.

I'm 15 lol, so I'll be over the teenage phase one day if you can wait 5 years lol.

Call me petty or insecure but even when im in my dotage, being mixed race I'll still never support anyone who could be so unprincilpled that thier best friend is a BNP suporter. No doubt it'd be easier for you tho - from the posts ive read on her burping and farting takes precedence over racism but hey ho, im used to it. It depresses me but im a realist, backing faves on a tv show is a more important issue to some than racism.
