Why did he sing that considering he's openly gay?

Dont care whether he is straight, gay or indifferent, I thought that was terrible.

Yeah why did he change the gender reference? Pathetic.
And shame on Craig for going along it. He has lost my respect and I hope people don't vote for him.

And he expect people to vote for his faux representation of the song?

And then Kelly said he made it his own?! Quite the opposite surely.

He should of left the words alone

would he have to change the lyrics to "Is This the Way to Amarillo"

when technically he isnt on the way to Amarillo?

the singer is singing the song the way the audience wants to hear it, not as a personal indication of his own feelings or a factual statement about his own life

I think it is wrong, he should have left the song as it was.

I can't stand it when gay blokes sing about fancying women.

Sing about fancying men.

It's all about the headlines...that would get them.

These spineless people will amount to nothing in the music industry. Have the balls to push the boundaries.

That's why Will Young is still around. No one told him what to do after his first few singles.

But he DID change the words, from "until that BOY is mine" - why feel the need to change them.

I had no idea he was openly gay.

I just read about Nu Vibe's "bum boy" comment. Even if they did mean it in a jokey way, it's out of order. I've certainly never gone through the back door, it's such a misconception.

It obviously wasn't his choice, he's very openly gay. Last thing you want to do is piss off the producers this late in the game right after they've axed someone from his category.
