I agree. I'm shocked! I thought there were much ads in Belgium, but no, this is much worse!

They cannot afford to pull ads

An ad break after every performance is excessive. I turn over during the ad break and im ending up missing half the show

The number and length of ad slots is strictly controlled though. Only a maximum 3 breaks an hour I believe and certain number of minutes. They can't exceed this or would be fined by Ofcom. You just THINK they're showing more ads!

First we put up with 15 mins of technical difficulties and now we have to accept each act followed by 5 mins of adverts. What a cock up this is. ...This was the night many viewers were meant to return.

Wondering if their ad rates have dropped with the fall in viewers?

So more ad breaks to make up income

I know but they aren't doing what they usually do.

No I'm not. The usual is filler + one contestant then ads, 2 contestants then ads. This is the first time I remember them having an ad break after every act.

Just tuned in, and even the live acts seem to be repeats.

Read my post above. They cannot just do more ad breaks. There are strict rules.

The John Lewis one is better than the show.

I think the breaks are to give time for the stage to be cleared and equipment to be set up.

One act and then 4 minutes of ads. This is because the advertising space during this show is so huge and ITV need the money from the sponsors to pay for it all that's why there are so many but it is so damn annoying that I now record the programme so I can skip through all the crap!!
