Marcus is one of the best in the competition but sticking to this genre isn't right. He's always great but I can't see any real longevity in this. It's a bit of a gimmick while Craig... gets all the anthems!

He can sing and he seems like a nice enough guy but he is too cabaret for my taste.

That's because Gary appears to have forced him to be cabaret like. He could do some fantastic songs on the show but Gary wants him to be some kind of 50s tribute act.

Marcus has become cheese, I think that's his downfall. I love this guy but cannot see him going anywhere from now, think he has reached his limits.

Bruno Mars built his contemporary image and sound before injecting the James Brown/Little Richard/Four Tops big band element. If you just launch into the stylised throwback, you're going to look like a tribute or cabaret act.

The theme weeks are getting in the way if you ask me, because what he should have done this week is a Bruno Mars song. i.e. Grenade. Not only to show the public where he hopes to fit in within the charts, but also give him a vocally led song where he could demonstrate that he also has the big voice IN ADDITION to being able to do uptempo. That's how you win the damn thing.

I don't think he should pigeon hole himself so soon though. I feel he could easily pull off a Justin Timberlake/Chris Brown/Jason Derulo/Usher type of performance too.

Yeah I agreed with them last night. I like Marcus and he is the best male singer left, but I perfer Amelia, Little Mix and Misha B over him.

It was only cos he saw Bruno Mars performing a couple of weeks ago.

If he had seen Willow Smith performing, he would be jumping around flicking his hair around by now.
