I didn't see a script for the other 3, just that Amelia link.

You sure those links were working?

I would guess all the judges have been told how to react if their act gets through.

The pages have been taken down now.

Only the Amelia page had her name in the address as well as the story number, the others were just the news story number.

Obviously the web team either published all 4 too early or forgotto set the embargo time (depending on what software they use if it has an embargo setting)

PS I took screen shots!

A few weeks ago The Daily Mail ran an article reporting Amanda Knox had lost her appeal against her murder conviction. Weird thing is it contained reaction quotes from the lawyers and a physical description of the reactions of the main figures in court.

That's quick with regards to what it does with however many pages. I should know better being a techie. Still, the technical glitch is not going to go well with all the crap going on this year.

The all did at the start. I only posted the ID links (the article title text is suffixed on the URL). Don't try and make a conspiracy out of nothing hehe

Anyone know if they had comments on the judges' reactions for other contestants? Eg:

"Louis promptly started clapping like a seal."
"Tulisa brandished her tattooed elbow in victory."
"Gary smiled smugly and nodded at the audience."

I can understand them getting the pages ready. But to load them on site before voting is finished is silly. It takes a matter of seconds to load a pre-written page onto the server.

My company has handled a number of websites in the past and has dealt with a few news sites. So I can say with absolute certainty that what's been found is quite normal, news and media co's always write articles in advance for each outcome, in scenarios like this and for stuff that may happen; the cock up is that the public can get to them.

Doesn't their cms have a 'publish' option lol. Normally you write the article but don't publish so only editorial staff can see it. Then when it's time to announce, sen to published and it will become available.

No conspiracy, more likely whoever wrote the articles made a mistake.

Do you work for STV by any chance? Incidentally I looked at the links just after you posted - the other had no article text - just the Amelia one

lol no, but I know how media/news companies work with their online content. Always write articles for all outcomes, and delete/amend as necessary

Yeah, they seemed to get the copy down for the articles pretty quickly. Musta realised us folks were hitting it
