Oh what a surprise to see barcode88 start this thread

Still, at least you had the decency to say a minority.
As I said on another thread, Amelia did OK. Very well all things considered - tough song to sing, lack of preparation, a little too young to really get the sentiment of the song, etc. However, comparing her to Adam Lambert, someone who I wasn't even aware until I found out here a few weeks ago was from a talent show and someone who Brian May and Roger Taylor personally asked to front them at the show last week is futile.
Amelia has bags of potential. I didn't want her back, I didn't think it was fair on others but I was impressed with her tonight. That said, she has miles to go before she's at the standard of many others who have emerged from this show, let alone Adam Lambert. His performance with Brian and Roger last week was epic. The measure being the overwhelmingly positive reaction from "neutrals".
Good luck to Amelia though. I don't think she'll have any trouble sailing through this week and with obviously more preparation in the coming weeks than she has had this time, who knows how good she can be? Not everyone is as malicious but I suppose we judge others by our own standards, don't we?

No you don't. Have you forgotten there is a function on this site for tracing posting history?
Perhaps you also don't know that you can search to see what has been tweeted to people on Twitter. I can't say I've seen an offensive tweet to Amelia about Adam. Why would there be?

I think I've just disturbed the neighbours laughing at that
