My opinion counts just as much as any bugger else's thanks very much.. oh, and is this the same Grammy Awards Committee that binned the Latin section by the way ?

If you haven't, forgive me but I'm sick and tired of reading comments around the net about him from people pretending they are new to him and neutral and then further down the line making it inadvertantly obvious that they're not.

Whether he is up to Freddie's level, I wish I could tell you of anyone I know personally who is old enough to have been around in Freddie's time and doesn't think that Adam is leagues ahead of him. Sorry.

Yes I do and they were pitchy at best, Taylor has a very weak falsetto.

Exactly! Exactly! Hallelujah! Glory be!

It's a taught technique. There are so many untrained or poorly trained singers around today, or singers who have had vibrato beaten out of them in order to sound "pop", that it's no wonder so many of their voices are shot by their mid-30s.

You know what guys, this is an X Factor board and this thread although started as being on topic is now all Adam related. Let it die now. There will always be people who love Adam and people who don't it's not compulsory and I am one of the people who love and admire Adam, but let's move on and get back to talking about the X Factor contestants

I promise you I have never heared of Adam Lambert
Good luck to the guy if he is doing well for himself
Amelia was also great tonight, comparing her to him is silly really

(Yes I like Lambert btw, but Amelia was just as good)”

I'm no Adam tweeter, and I always maintain tweeting is for twits. But there's no way she sang the song perfectly in tune. The opening was fine, but the middle verse was almost completely off - anyone familiar with the song would know so. She ended well though.

What exactly has that got to do with the price of fish?

Clearly I mean the middle verse of the composition she sang tonight.

They kept the second verse in. Of course they cut the guitar solo ....... unless Amelia was going to surprise us with that particular talent.

I'm not a fan of Amelia, I think she's too shouty and aggressive in her singing but I thought she sang the song pretty well ... and was one of the better acts tonight .. although that doesn't take much with what they have this year

personally I thought Little Mix were the best tonight

Nothing at all, what's it's to do with is a body of people who's opinion is allegedly worth more than mine and worth more, it would appear, than all the uber talented Latin artistes that won't get grammy awards because the Committee binned the category. It was posted that Brian May, Roger Taylor and the Grammy mafia all have opinions that are worth more than mine, I'm not going to agree with that as long as I have a breath in my body. May and Taylor put their pants on the same as me, they're just blokes like me, blokes with opinions that I disagree with.

I agee that music is subective and no matter how many reknown plaudits someone has it doesn't mean that those people's opinions are correct ... I guess it just shows that Adam has the respect and attention from a lot of people in the industry which can't do him any harm

Is this even a serious thread? I was out so I've just watched the show. Is there something wrong with my Sky+? I was disappointed with Amelia's vocal. It was all just too simple. I thought she'd do more with the song and better than that.

Opinions can't be correct or incorrect. Only the facts that you base them on can.

Does it? Lay opinion counts as much as expert opinion? Excuse me if I beg to differ. If I want medical advice, I ask a doctor, not the first person I meet in the street.

I thought both Amelia and Adam did a poor job covering TSMGO.
If you can't match or add to the brilliance of the original, better leave it alone.

Yes, she hit a number of bum notes in the middle section. She ended well like you said, but it was hardly a vocally flawless performance.
