Gary says "It was Frankie's choice to leave"

On Xtra Factor Gary says it was Frankie's choice to leave. On the ealier vt Frankie himself said he decided he should go. Why did all the papers say he was chucked out? If it was his choice where did all the stories come from?

He was resigned!

Frankie left of his own accord...he made the greatest sacrifice...

The initial press release said he broke a golden rule. Jumped before he was pushed.

Huh? What does that mean? He either made a choice to go or he was made to go.

The producers probably don't want the public to know that they turned a normal teenager into a hate figure for their viewing pleasure.

Jumped before he was pushed?

Can't stand the fact that they are giving him yet more airtime though, I guess this is to lessen their feeling of guilt that they were partly responsible.

Either way, certainly not watching Xtra Factor.

Yes it's the political "It would look better if you left, or we will be force to throw you out"

MPs have been doing it for years.

You're probably right. The whole thing is so ludicrously contrived now.

But which one? There were stories about his drug use before last week, stories about him being a tart before last week.

They encouraged him to behave badly. As someone else said Olly wasn't allowed to leave the house to visit his brother on his wedding day but Frankie was allowed out practically every night (with a camera crew in tow).

I think he was freaked out by how hated he was becoming and couldn't cope with it anymore.

I would think it was more a case of the producers telling him to either resign (and save face) or be officially thrown out. Either way, he was toast.

Yes I think you're right but all the press articles hysterically talked about his 'EVICTION from the XFACTOR!' I guess the 'I decided to leave.' story wasn't as exciting as the 'COCOZZA KICKED OUT!!' one. Booo for all this.
