Does your cat ever "look" like a different species of animal?

One of mine sometimes looks like an owl when she is staring at something and moving her head about quickly, at other times she jumps on the bed and is like a baby brown bear and at other times she reminds me of a brown rabbit.

The other sometimes looks like a meerkat as she strains to look at something

I used to have a pure white cat that looked more like a white rabbit

My tabby when she was a kitten used to stand on her hind legs like a meerkat , but she doesn't do it anymore, looked so cute though.
My nana always used to think my other cat whose a tortoiseshell looks a bit like an owl, and actually i kind of see what she means, it's just the way sometimes her ears prick up! As weird as it sounds!

Maybe she doesn't have to do it anymore as she has grown bigger

You've just reminded me of when I introduced a new kitten to my existing adult cat many years ago.

The kitten stood up on two legs as if to say "if I do this, i'm as big as you"!

The adult cat thought for a moment and then stood on his back legs, as if to say, that doesn't work as I can do that too!

Well, if you think about it, a cats head (particularly on a brown/tabby cat) does look and move like an owls!

Incidentally, I learned today that ALL cats are descended from black and white cats

Mine started looking like an ostrich this afternoon!

She was straining her neck to see where the new cat was making a noise from, as she isn't completely used to it yet

...this morning, 'cos she has a mostly white, small face, I told my oldest girl that she looked like a mouse. I said that she shouldn't look like her own prey as another cat might try to eat her!

She gave me a dirty look and jumped off the bed

I got my Siamese boy when he was 11 weeks old. He looked like a very pretty rat.

Now, with his massive ears and little face, he sometimes looks like a bat.

He's a full pedigree though, so he's always gorgeous!

Yes - I often look at my chubby boy and think he resembles a gorilla, a koala, a monkey and a bear.... just depends on his moods
