Marcus dressing as a Little Richard - Pop star??

Gary Barlow: "That's a pop star!"

"I know who I am now!" said Little Marcus.

How I laughed.

I don't like Marcus' styling which is a shame as I think he's the best one there.

In a word - NO far from it. Same performances every week for me is just a

Too old fashioned and very overrated, only been happy with three of Marcus's performances. Last week, the week before and the week before that, didn't start very well and tonight was silly and rubbish.

They'll have him in a cardie as a little Val Doonican next.

To be fair, I think he's probably forced into doing a dance routine every week because he's one of the only ones who can do it and pull it off. There's a whole load of dancers employed on that show and they need someone to dance with.

Could you imagine Janet or the HoneyMonster being told they've got to do that routine???

Yeah why not? It worked once, it can work again. Marcus is fun and always puts on a good show, better than boring sodding Craig.

He needs to be more modern and relevant and I say this as a Marcus fan.

I like Marcus and have previously posted that he needs to steer himself into dance music, because he is quite boppy and catches the groove of a song. To do so would defuse his sexuality too - it isn't as crucial in dance music to be "available" to bedroom wall fantasists.

I thought the first week, though a tough song for him, suited him best. I'd like to see him style himself on Jamiroquai, not some retro artist, however commercial Bruno Mars may currently be. Both last week and this reminded me of something I could see at Butlins.

Absolutely! He slots into the professional dancers routines beautifully.

ETA: Added the word 'routines' there to avoid embarrassment

No, he looked a joke IMO, especially with his inane facial expressions.

I loved both his Are you gonna go my way and Superstition look, they made him look like something out of a 1950's American sitcom this week

It's terribly naff what they've done to him, made him look a total pillock.

I couldn't care less what he - or any other contestant - wears. He has a great voice and a winning personality and he has excellent performance skills. These factors set him miles above all the other acts bar Amelia, and still quite some way above her.

He seems to be embracing the 'All Round Entertainer' look, suitable for all the family.

Brucie would be proud.

Butlins beckons!
