She wasn't nearly as bad as the last two weeks, but she was at the bottom of the pack tonight.
If we're to believe Tulisa and Gary's comments, it's very possible that she could find herself on the losing end of a Bottom 2 with Kitty if it came to that.

Why do you pity my ears for finding something beautiful? Trust me, that's a positive emotion, and listening to her performance was a good experience. I tend to pity people when bad things happen, not good!

I 100% agree. The show don't seem to want her anymore.
i thought it was amazing haunting most spine tingling vocals of the series. i dont know why i bother with this show sometimes the producers and judges are obviously out to destroy janet and have been for about 4 weeks

Exactly 4 weeks in fact. You're absolutely right. She's been given a combination of subpar song choices, subpar slots in the running order, subpar judge's comments and even subpar VTs. I have to be honest, I didn't expect this as a Janet fan. I thought the producers were behind her, but apparently it seems not.
The fact that she's still here after 4 weeks of horrendous mistreatment by the show just goes to show the fanbase that she has looking out for her. I hope that they can see her through today as well, because she deserved it after her performance. Hopefully the producers will get back to her side at some point soon!

Did the show make her forget her lyrics?
The judges should have raked her over the coals for that one, but they didn't even slap her on the wrist for that.The truth is that she's moved on her own from frontrunner to middle-of-the-pack.

If anything, her forgetting the lyrics will have given her votes, rather than taken them away. The real catastrophe for Janet has been those 4 things I mentioned, the song choices (and arrangements), the judges comments, the VTs and the running order. Forgetting the lyrics may have been the difference between her in the bottom 2 and not last week!

yep as soon as i heard louis comment that she was boring in a vt when the bad treatment started i feared the worse,louis never usually slags of irish acts
also how is she boring every act in the competion has there own style craig does ballads every week why isnt he boring
this show really winds me up sometimes i will vote for janet more the more crap they pull

Didn't she say that she picked "I Want You Back" herself? And for the judges comments...what do you expect them to say? Her last three weeks have been: bad, trainwreck, boring. Are they supposed to praise it if they think she's subpar?
It sounds like you're making excuses. Compared to the treatment (VTs, judges comments, tabloid stories) of acts like Misha, Kitty, Johnny, Two Shoes, and Frankie...Janet has gotten off scot free.
also the vts are being set up to make janet look bossy and like she calling the shots they trying to make her look diva like when it would be easier to play on her sweet shy girl image
compare this to misha who the last 2 weeks have tried to soften her image make her smile all the time show her holding a baby in vts etc

About right. Bound to be a swing vote to Amelia which will split the girls votes. Little Mix were brilliant and are showing really good voices and harmonies.

Misha has had very good treatment aside from one comment from Tulisa. The producers are realy pushing her, note the continual late slots in the show and continual praise from the judges, through her great weeks and her not so great weeks.
And actually, yeah, I do expect praise when she's subpar! Look at Craig! But in all seriousness, I don't expect praise when they think she's subpar, but note the reason why she's subpar (though I don't actually think she was this week, but the last 3 weeks) is because of song choice (and one slip of the lines, but mainly song choice). I don't see why Gary, in-keeping with his character throughout this series, would think she was boring tonight either, because he really enjoyed her earlier performances, last week wanted her back doing what she's comfortable with and suddenly he decides that actually that's boring. It's clear to me that they're just trying to dampen Janet down as much as they can.

janet has come across sweet shy from the start but now i get the feeling they are trying to show her being assertive to make people not like her as much

It's like tasting something new and really liking it...but getting sick of eating it every day.
As for the praise thing...Craig or Misha's worst performances of the season haven't been remotely as bad as Janet's worst. "I Want You Back" was the worst performance of the season by someone not named Frankie Cocozza. Hell, Nu Vibe were better than that mess. The judges have criticized acts even after they gave relatively good performances, so why should anyone be given a pass after they completely butcher a song? And to be honest...they went easy on Janet after "Every Breath You Take".
They're not "damping Janet down". She's been exposed and they're pointing it out. That's what judges do.

Misha was never "Im a gangsta". She was always pretty soft spoken during her auditions. And how was Rachel fake? She may have looked cold, but everytime she opened her mouth she was very giggly and talkative.
I never believed for a second that Janet was some inexperienced waif from the country. I thought that she was someone who didn't feel like she had to be front and center, but she had her opinions and she stuck to them. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, I was happy to see that she was being portrayed more realistically in her VTs as opposed to that fairy tale audition background story.
Her performance was incredible and the best of the night for me, followed by Amelia's performance.
Unfortunately what is happening is some of the more easily influenced viewers are starting to believe the crap from Gary who, in my opinion, doesn't have any credibility left.
Also the three weeks prior were not good for Janet and she has suffered for it. She had to take control from Kelly her incompetent "mentor" before we started to see her perform to her full abilities.

Kelly has always favoured Misha. Janet is increasingly looking like someone set up for a fall. Be interesting to see how the fix factor now spins out Amelia, but it will be at a cost to Janet, assuming Janet gets through this weekend.

It's clear to me that the Janet fans are so drunk on the Kool-Aid that they will make excuse after excuse for each week that Janet mails in a subpar performance. She wasn't bad this week. She was forgettable.
Gary has more credibility than Janet fans, because you all kept her in the competition when she deserved to be in the B2 the last 2 weeks.
no im starting to find her more and more dull each week,tonight she sounded like her batteries were running out.to me whatever she sings sounds the same
I've never been a fan of Janet at *all*, but I was genuinely impressed with her performance this week, I actually found it quietly quite stunning.
