Well, at the very least I didn't like that they stuck her up on one of those annoying "vanity boxes" this show seems obsessed with (they usually only use that for groups though, to make them look extra stupid).
I can understand why a lot of people like her and that my taste in music is not exactly 'mainsteam'!!, but I find this style of singing deeply unpleasant.
I read a description of Janet's style last night as 'performed in the haunted manner of a little dead girl from beyond the grave', and that's the nail on the head for me - totally creeps me out.
That Phones 4 You advert, with the ghost girl in the car park? If she sang Someone To Love she'd sound just like Janet - I'm creeping myself out again................

As good a vocal as it was I do have to agree that it was a tad dull and I think she'd have got a much better reaction had she done it at a similar tempo to the original.

I am a fan but I agree with you here. It was all a bit of an anti climax last night. I'm not sure where she should go from here.
Yes. The judges are being tactical. Surprised Kelly wasn't stronger inher defence of Janet - it was an excellent performace
I thought it was the weakest performance of the night by a long way.
As she said on Xtra she has gone right back to the beginning and started again but I think she has lost a bit of confidence since then so it doesn't seem to work and is all a bit awkward and dull. And the styling doesn't help either.

Not at all, boring and predictable. After all her crap about wanting to do uptempo songs she gets an uptempo song and sing it as.....surprise surprise....a ballad.
She was the worst of them all last night by a mile and probably going tonight, disappointing as the girl can sing, but she's just a weak singer with only one style.

Indeed which is why i think in 2 weeks Amelia will be back down in the rankings again, shes just flavour of the week

I was a fan, but she is giving off confused unhappy images. I suspect like last year with Rebbeca Ferguson (who should have won) someone is playing head games with her.
With her performance last night I actually speeded up the hardrive and skipped through after 45 sec. Later I went on Youtube and started to watch it again with linked Hi Fi and again could not get through.
Her, Misha and Craig in the bottom 2. I really hope Kitty can get through as she deserves a chance and I would like Louis still to be involved.
I thought the first half was really lovely, then when it got onto the second verse I got a bit disinterested. It'd been a bit better if they made it a bit more upbeat for the second half like they did for Craig
It was awful. Completely wrong to try and 'Janet' that particular song. She and Kelly completely missed the point.

I found it dreary and not really in tune - but she has that quirkiness that will appeal to some people, so whatever floats your boat really.
In a word NOOOOOOOOO She was built up and up an up and its back fired on them........The show has backfired on them))
