Does anyone else think Amelia would be brilliant in Broadway/West End

She has that leading lady voice, and I think she would be FANTASTIC working on these type of shows. And it would make her voice even better, I could see her on the Rocky Horror Show and also The Green Day Musical.

She has such a strong voice, I think she would be perfect for it could make alot of money from it too and it could really improve her voice also and stage presence

Being a Musical Theatre performer doesn't just involve singing. You also have to be able to act. Amelia can sing, but there's no emotion there when she performs, nothing behind the eyes. She would really need to work on that (possibly a two year performing arts or drama course) if she wanted to go into Musical Theatre.

Oh, and it really isn't a line of work to get into if you want to make lots of money. Musical Theatre performers don't earn Rock (or Pop) star money!

They always need buskers to keep the crowd happy whilst queuing outside.

No I think Amelia is ambitious enough and has a pushy dad that she will have a pop career no matter what.

Her brother is already a West End star

I don't think so, not as she is now. She has a powerful voice, but the tone isn't very good, it's a bit too shouty. She might do alright with training, but there really is a lot more to being in the West End than having a decent singing voice.

Personally, I think she needs to work on her tone if she wants to stay in X Factor. I think she'll stay a few more weeks, but she needs to watch back her performances and she'll see that she has a perfectly functional microphone in her hand, and she can turn the volume down a bit, so she can focus on improving her vocal quality.

There have been numerous girl one-hit wonders. They usually end up on daytime TV doing the cake-baking slot.

That's possible for Amelia. I know it is not nice to say but I'm not sure she is original enough to sustain a musical career or glamorous enough for a TV career.

I may be wrong though.

I actually think that Marcus would be good in the West End rather than Amelia - he has more charisma and is more stagey and has a reasonably good voice.

A good parent should support their children, but also be prepared to tell a few home truths when needed. I get the impression that Amelia's have been feeding her fantasies of stardom from an early age. A sensible parent would have 'kept it real', but Amelia's allowed two of their children to go on TV talent shows.

Not really but would prefer her to be there than unfairly being on stage last night.

Not really worried as this series has been a complete shambles. I would have been unhappy with any of the bottom four being brought back as the were all deservedly voted out in the first week. My favourites were already going to find it hard before Amelia came back and winning isn't everything (JLS, Rhydian, Jedward, Diana Vickers )

Amelia deserves her place and proved so last night.

No, I think she'd be awful - she's nowhere good enough. West End performers sing (not shout) in tune with feeling and emotion, and they in effect act the songs they are singing. Which is everything that Amelia didn't do last night. Shouting a song is not the same as projecting it in a theatre.

If you want to listen to a talent show singer as a West End star google Danielle Hope, who won Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC search for Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. I saw the show a few months ago and thought she was brilliant in it.

I read somewhere that her Brother is a west end performer (lewis Bradley). I remember him from Any Dream will Do where he came third. Think Amelia wanted to be in musicals when she was younger but changed her mind.
