He appears to have an issue in the same way as Johnny before her. You can see his face before she even starts; it’s bizarre and against someone who is shy and introvert, smacks of bullying.
Now, if we set aside the ‘I hate, I hate, I hate’ brigade who post comments here from the shared computer in their secure wing; you will like or dislike acts depending on your personal tastes. But even if you dislike the act, you’ll agree that they all have good weeks and bad. Gary on the other hand, seems to just gets it in his head that he doesn’t like you and that’s it. Explains Robbie I guess.
Gary wants versatility. Clearly he’s ever been in the audience at a Take That concert? Don’t get me wrong, I quite like Take That; but they have a style that they follow over and over again; it works. From Gary’s comments, Kate Bush would have never got past Boot Camp and U2 would be voted off during Hip-Hop theme week. Although you could make an argument for Tulisa, the rest of the panel are involved in Pop; that’s what they know and understand. It should be called the Bland Factor as the ‘X’ is actively discouraged. Want to find real ‘X’ factor acts, ditch the Themes and the telling acts what they can and can’t sing; that’s for the public.
Maybe Gary has access to the % of the vote figures and is trying to play silly mind games with vulnerable young people. I mean, when you have two really bad weeks, culminating in forgetting your words and yet they aren’t even in the bottom three, he has to worry about his acts.
To be honest, I think Janet’s in trouble this week. Amelia was the worst possible choice for Janet as she’s liable to take votes off her support base. I think Janet should accept that on current performances she’s unlikely to win, tell Kelly that Beyonce really was Destiny’s Child and she’s a backing singer and go back to the Auditions and Boot Camp where she really was a breath of fresh air. Her YouTube page has far better songs on it than the one’s she’s had on the X Factor.
