I'm not attacking you or anyone, but - it's almost impossible to ensure that any animal products you buy are from animals reared in humane conditions, unless you personally know the farmer(s). & even people who make conscious efforts to buy free range meat/eggs/etc. still usually contribute to factory farming by buying other stuff that contains animal products.

The only way to pretty much ensure that you're not contributing to the inhumane treatment of animals is to go vegan (and I'm not saying that anybody should - that would be hypocritical of me since I eat dairy products - only that it's not as simple as saying 'I can choose to buy only ethically produced animal products').

Do you take any medication, or wear any make-up? if yes to either then that comment actually makes you a hypocrite.

The question should really be can that suffering be justified by benefits it may yield.

In the case of fur or Make-up --- no it cant. in the case of medication, yes it can IMO.

Question then - if an animal was raised in a humane way, then killed in a humane way but for its fur - would that then be OK ?

Its the same thing after all.

Why don't you all hang her to a tree and leave a cross burning in the back garden?
