I think the talent is better than last year and the year before overall. That is the only good part of the show atm. The other parts like the judges, press, twists are a let down.
I agree that the talent is definitely up there. Most of the acts last year (especially the 'chosen ones') couldn't actually sing in tune, & the same can be said for S6. This year is possibly close to S5 when it comes to vocal ability. But otherwise, yes, this year has been a bit of a disappointment (save for Tulisa).

Really? Katie, Wagner, Diva Fever, Cher (which I personally like) made the show loose it's status of being a talent show at that time. One Direction wasn't very good either in terms of singing. Matt, Rebecca, Paij, Mary etc were excellent though. Just that all the wrong acts went first in that series. Couldn't stand Aiden either. Dreadful series.
