I've only just watched it on iplayer (had a full day today)

Here goes:

1. Alex and James: Great energy and not too manic, kicks are fine, but flicks need work. (score: 7)

2. Robbie and Ola: Same ol', same ol', like his Foxtrot with lifts thrown in. (score: 7)

3. Audley and Natalie: Lumpy, laboured, lacking any purpose and I can't see him improving any further. (score: 5.5)

4. Harry and Aliona: Precise and well-placed with clever choreography, but it looks like Harry's a nineteen-year-old virgin dancing with his foreign language teacher. (score: 8)

5. Jason and Kristina: Too much rise and fall and some parts looked forced and rushed, with an uncomfortable-looking off-balanced spin at the end. (score: 7.5)

6. Chelsee and Pasha: Strange story-telling, not sure what the piano bit in the beginning is all about or the last thrown 'between-the-legs' end, good lines but poor footwork. (score: 8)

7. Anita and Robin: A little bit throw-away manic throughout, and quite untidy in places. (score: 6.5)

8. Holly and Brendan: Can't believe how good they looked together, but I find Artem's choreography a little strange, especially towards the end when Brendan placed her half-kneeling on the floor. (score: 7.5)

9. Russell and Flavia: The great reveal is a complete let-down, period. (score: 6.5)

One last general comment: Asinine VTs, please SCD producers, stop that condescending nonsense right now!

Great idea SCD-O as good as the 5 things thread which I love....here goes.

Alex - Not as bad as I thought it might be, but she still has a way to go.

Robbie - His dances are getting a bit samey I think, it was OK but thats daming with faint praise.

Audley - My mum phoned in the middle of this, and I think it was probably a blessing.

Harry - I really liked it, but I did agree with Len aswell, it suited them because the dance is all about the woman.

Jason - I really liked the choreography, I think Kristina is amazing, cant be objective really as they are my favourites.

Chelsee - Very good again, but spoiled by the bit between the legs for me.

Anita - Hated the 'basic instinct' leg crossing and found it all a bit embarrassing to watch.

Holly - Not too bad as Rumba goes, I think I probably prefer her with Brendan even though I love Artem.

Russell - A real let down for me, was expecting so much more from the 'reveal' and it was just a bit dull.

Audley and Natalie - Poor performance, heavy footed, his lack of ability is really starting to show.
Alex and James - average routine, cringed a bit at the rag doll, overmarked again.
Harry and aliona - really crisp, tight routine, lovely strong lifts but too much aliona dancing around harry, musicians and orchestra butchered a beautiful song.
Chelsee. and pasha - lovely lovely routine, that lost its shine with that odd throw through rhe legs at the end, shame her footwork was off, hopefully she can improve this with more training
Holly and brendan - really gorgeous routine but tarnished a bit by that strange section at the endshame that holly wasn't put with brendan from the start, they look relaxed and hot together.
Kristina and Jason - I loved this routine, only flaw for me was that it sometimes git a bit frantic esp the lifts
Russell and flavia - my least favourite routine of theirs so far.
Anita and robin - loved the performance aspect if the routine as alw!ys but don't like anita v much in ballroon didnt think she created v nice lines.

Great thread idea!!!!!

Alex - Liked the dance as a whole but found the bit with the rag doll really contrived.

Robbie - It was nice enough but his hands annoyed me this week.

Audley - Was Audley in the dance this week - all I could see was Natalie being Natalie!

Harry - it was an amazing AT but I have to say this couple leaves me cold.

Jason - I love this pairing and it is very clear they are working very hard.

Chelsee - She never fails to deliver but I felt the ending let it down.

Anita - Loved the dance and the drama and she got my first phone votes of this series

Holly - I find Holly very cold and emotionless but did prefer her with Brendan.

Russell - I do find him entertaining, but the joke is starting to wear a bit thin.

1. Alex & James. My little pony on speed in la la land, at least they didn't dance to Nellie the Elephant try that for a prop. 6

2. Robbie & Ola. Not sure about the beatific expression, is he auditioning for Jesus Christ Superstar, pretty much the same as before. 6

3. Audley & Natalie. Great smile, some musiciality, not too hot as a dancer. 5

4. Harry & Aliona. Dons tin hat, raises white flag. No passion, too much posing not enough flow, at least this dance suits his one expression. Sexy my *arse. 7

5. Jason & Kristina. So intense, so busy - trying too hard, dancing should be fun to do and watch. 7

6. Chelsea & Pasha. A bit off the boil this dance, the through the legs thing at the end why. Still the best dance of the night. 8

7. Anita & Robin. Bit frenetic, simpler would have been better. What was it with the running the hands up the leg, you're not buying a cow at market Robin. 6

8. Holly & Brendan. Don't think Holly can really be bothered, her core is too weak so her moves look too casual and unfinshed. 7

9. Russell & Flavia. Boo, hiss, rubbish reveal, expected a role reversal, it's all a bit samey now and Russell isn't that good a dancer to carry it off. 5

Lot of marks the same, but it was all a bit middling and meh tonight, the VTs don't help

Alex - Drippy

Robbie - Boring

Audley - A pity.

Jason - boring

Harry - Boring

Chelsee - Sweet

Anita - Overrated

Holly - Lethargic

Russell - Go home.

Alex & James. One of the few couples to consistently improve, particularly as Alex is becoming more confident - not the best dance, but certainly decent considering people were expecting a complete flop. 6.5

Robbie & Ola. I'd like to see something more unique and stand out from them, it was OK but I'm not getting the sense of improvement I am from others. 6

Audley & Natalie. Audley was the prop in this dance. 2

Harry & Aliona. A little over-rated I felt, Harry didn't give the sense he was leading as much as Aliona was leading herself, and, even though the dance suits the woman more, Harry could have done with more steps. 7

Jason & Kristina. Quite good dancing technically, since both are highly driven and competitive, but I'd like to see more genuine affection between him and Kristina in dances. 8

Chelsee & Pasha. Went a bit off focus near the end, and whilst the dance was good otherwise, she seemed a little tired. 8

Anita & Robin. Good story-telling, a little iffy technically, but solid overall. 7

Holly & Brendan. The choreography was a little strange at places, but I thought Holly was well suited to the dance and Brendan, and could be great if she were to really put herself out there. 7.5

Russell & Flavia. I feel like they're doing the same dance every week - clomp around and jump a bit, I'd like to see them leave this week or next, but don't think it will happen. 2

Alex - Plenty of energy but not enough precision or control. No need for the creepy doll (dislike it when lyrics of songs are interpreted so literally). 6.5

Robbie - I was indifferent to this. 6.5

Audley - His movement looked hindered by a sore knee. I don't think he'll improve much more, but Natalie has worked miracles to get Audley this far. Good team. 5.

Harry - He seems to thrive on the darker, seductive dances. Could still lose himself in the performance more, but the moves were very precise, this was easily the most memorable thing Harry's done. 9.

Jason - I liked the wild movement of this Viennese Waltz across the floor. Jason looked a bit strained at the start but then he settled into the dance nicely. 8.5

Chelsee - She was elegant and poised, but it's time to really knuckle down on the footwork. There were stutters. 8.5

Anita - No one tells a story better than Anita. I was transfixed. The legs and feet could have been neater and extended more, but otherwise excellent. 8.

Holly - Looks far more relaxed with Brendan, and they are more compatible height-wise, but I still felt quite detached from Holly's performance. She doesn't grab me. 7.5.

Russell - I'm glad he's still with us. 6.

Alex - Her worst dance. What was James thinking with the doll.
Robbie - Is turning into Gavin Henson each week. His dancing is regressing instead of progressing
Audley - Bless Audley lol. He gave it a go but it is his time he left the show.
Harry - Passionless and cold. However he is hot, just needs to show more personality. He is a little like a robot.
Jason - Liked the song he danced to. However, he just is not warming to me.
Chelsee - Beautiful dance, IMO she should have been top of leaderboard this week.
Anita - Not very endearing her dance this week. As someone said on a different thread. She acted the dance instead of dancing it.
Holly - This lady is just awesome
Russell - Getting annoyed now he is still in. He needs to go tonight.

Great thread! Here's my tuppence worth:

1. Alex and James: Great energy but poor precision and control, low on content, hated the doll (my score: 6)

2. Robbie and Ola: Nice ballroom hold but his character/acting seemed forced. (score: 8)

3. Audley and Natalie: Still got his groove, but he just can't improve his feet, I think it's his time to go this week. (score: 5)

4. Harry and Aliona: Loved his precise technique, strong lead and passionate performance. (score: 10)

5. Jason and Kristina: A surpisingly intense, driven VW; I think Jason had overall good technique but dodgy arms at times (score: 9)

6. Chelsee and Pasha: Chelsee's performances still strike me as slightly bumpy and out of control, I couldn't see much of the footwork but if she isn't doing heel leads that might explain it. (score: 8)

7. Anita and Robin: Great acting if slightly overdone at times, but her core is very weak and her feet look like they have been anaesthetised. (score: 6)

8. Holly and Brendan: I was impressed with the new partnership, but Holy is still quite wobbly in places and the choroeography didn't always work for me (score: 7)

9. Russell and Flavia: I get Flavia's need to have a section of dancing for the judges (which Russell always does nicely) and a section for Russell to be comedic, but the crazed bouncing around didn't really do anything for me (score: 6)

Likin this thread!

Alex - James, just dance with the doll, it would be easier
Robbie - Haven't a clue what dances you have done, they all look the same
Audley - why was Natalie dancing with a lump of wood last night?
Harry - as I have said elsewhere, Aliona, please give Harry something to bleedin well do
Jason - getting worse not better, and Kristina is in killing mood
Chelsee - please keep the natural non-plastic hair
Anita - did you know she's 62 - and it shows
Holly - do whatever it takes to keep dancing with Brendan
Russell - shame, I was looking forward to seeing you all dragged up - ask Jason for tips.

1. Alex and James: Full of energy, but didn't point her feet.(score: 6)

2. Robbie and Ola: Decent effort, but no improvement. (score: 6)

3. Audley and Natalie: Just not his dance, but an extra point for the big smile and being such a good sport. (score: 5.)

4. Harry and Aliona: I don't know what Len was talking about, full of passion and very sexy..or at least Aliona was.(score: 9)

5. Jason and Kristina: It was a VW, and about as exciting as the Beetle..the "peoples car" (score: 7 )

6. Chelsee and Pasha: Attractive routine, but fell short of last week's smashing Charleston. (score: 8)

7. Anita and Robin: Weird, but strangely entertaining..like a manic granny at a fancy dress party (score: 7)

8. Holly and Brendan: She looks incredible, but just doesn't "do" sexy. (score: 8)

9. Russell and Flavia: The joke is wearing thin. (score: 4)

Alex - She can dance perfectly well so she doesn't need a doll to distract.
Robbie - The lifts were a bit manic, but probably his best dance.
Audley - It looked really heavy and Natalie did most of the work.
Harry - It was a bit cold performance wise, but very sharp footwork.
Jason - May have peaked too early.
Chelsee - She looked like she lost her balance in a few places.
Anita - She got into character well, but she seemed a bit hunched up at times.
Holly - Better with Brendan, although the on-the-floor choreography and lift back up didn't suit the dance.
Russell - Fed up of being expected to laugh at him every week, when I think he can actually dance.

Alex and James: Better than I expected; a lot of energy but needs to point her toes. 7

Robbie and Ola: I hated the time-wasting at the start but he is good in hold; needs to work on the acting side. 7

Audley and Natalie: Needed more bounce action and it lacked the atmosphere of a Cha Cha Cha. 4

Harry and Aliona: Mesmerizing from start to finish; a captivating Argentine Tango I can easily re-watch. 10

Jason and Kristina: Good but too frenetic; it was like watching Roadrunner do the Quickstep (instead of the Smooth). 8

Chelsee and Pasha: Very enjoyable, but the piano and the slide were not necessary. 9

Anita and Robin: Decent, but they interacted with the audience (and with Anita's footwear) more than themselves. 7

Holly and Brendan: One of my favourite dances of Holly's so far; needs to be slightly more clinical with her steps. 9

Russell and Flavia: The screen was unnecessary but there was plenty of average technique for him to do. 5

1. Alex and James: Getting better all the time.

2. Robbie and Ola: Not bad - but falling down the leaderboard.

3. Audley and Natalie: Needs to spend more time with his family!

4. Harry and Aliona: Harrybot! Perfect for Aliona to dance around.

5. Jason and Kristina: Good in patches. Better than last week, but thats not saying much.

6. Chelsee and Pasha: Still reminds me of Jeanette Krankie. Good dancer though.

7. Anita and Robin: Nearing the end of the road - but she does well.

8. Holly and Brendan: Good together. Even Brenda was better than usual.

9. Russell and Flavia: Just a Camp-Fest!! More content please - we know you CAN do it!!

JJ as critic - but WTF do I know?

Alex - Still pants but maybe M & S full brief now instead of Bridget Jones massive granny knickers.
Robbie - meh, meh and thrice meh.
Audley - Rubbish but at least not irritating and I like Natalie.
Harry - You need to issue restraining orders against Alesha and Bruno but the dance was okay.
Jason - Better than most but unmemorable.
Chelsee - Enjoyable enough but can do better.
Anita - I can't take her seriously, she could outgurn the hobbit.
Holly - Slightly more comfortable but no more remarkable.
Russell - Begone varmint you ceased to amuse several weeks ago.

1. Alex and James: Loved the song, irritated a little less than normal, rubbish kicks (score: 5)

2. Robbie and Ola: Gone from dislike to like to urrrgh over the course of the series so far, lifts made me laugh as you could see he was trying so hard not to throw up (score: 4)

3. Audley and Natalie: Love Natalie to bits, this was very poor (score: 2)

4. Harry and Aliona: May be because the previous dances were so poor but I actually really liked this(score: 9)

5. Jason and Kristina: Earnest VW to add to his earnest rumba(score: 6)

6. Chelsee and Pasha: Enjoyed this apart from the end which was very strange, needs to polish up the dance a bit more (score: 8)

7. Anita and Robin: Poor (score: 4)

8. Holly and Brendan: she seemed better with Brendan than with Artem but still can't shake feeling she is lazy and needs a bit of a kick up the rear, enjoyed it though(score: 7.5)

9. Russell and Flavia: A let down,bit boring(score: 5)

Alex: - a study in why you shouldn't choreograph to the literal meaning of the lyrics in your dance.

Robbie: - some heart-in-mouth lifts but fair effort.

Audley:- lumpen.

Harry: - a relief to see a creditable routine that didn't leave you with the 'What was that?' feeling of recent weeks.

Jason: - always 'doing' the dance rather than dancing it.

Chelsee:- charming and elegant right up until he wangs her between his legs.

Anita: - her best effort to date.

Holly:- underwhelmed on first viewing but a second viewing pays dividends.

Russell: - the charm has waned; the party's over.

LOL. Be careful with words like wangs. Replace g with k and you have a completely different meaning.

Alex: BLOODY RAGDOLL, but better than I expected.
Anita: Great characterisation and great choreography.
Audley: Another one bites the dust.
Chelsee: Didn't understand the throw between the legs, but loved the rest.
Harry: Electrifying, I clapped right after which is always a good sign.
Holly: Much better with Brendan and their VT was hilarious but unsure on song choice.
Jason: Too frantic, WAY too frantic.
Robbie: Weird song choice, thought his Foxtrot was better than this (same mark I think)
Russell: Reveal was a complete and utter let-down.

Well, as has been established, I'm no expert but..

Alex - She seems to be enjoying dancing now, and has improved considerably. Good energy, but the kicks needed pointed feet. I'm not sure the shoes helped tbh. 6.5
Robbie - Better in ballroom, but he's going to need to up his game to go muh further. 7
Audley - Enthusiasm can only take you so far. 4
Harry - Great lifts and pose, but not given enough to do. 8.5
Jason - A routine that didn't have enough in hold (for me). There was something not right, but don't ask me what it was. 7.5
Chelsee - More precise footwork needed, but she is a real contender now - 8
Anita - Not a big fan, but the dance suited her, and her acting. 7.5
Holly - So want her to be better. 7
Russell - I've been enjoying his work, but sections of this sacrificed dancing for camp. 5.5

Alex - Loved how they were in time with each other, wasn't expecting her to be that good - 7
Anita - Loved the acting throughout the routine but her leg and arm movements were a bit willowy - 7
Audley - Too much plodding about, hardly any Cha Cha Cha - 4
Chelsee - Very lyrical in her arm movements, love her but her footwork needs to step up a little bit now - 8
Harry - Amazing, props to Aliona for fantastic choreography, something missing for me tho - 9
Holly - Her partnership with Brendan was way better than with Artem, a little ropey in places - 8
Jason - Thought it was a little skippy in places and he just leaves me yawning - 7
Robbie - The spins seemed very forced, dare i say boring? - 7
Russell - Brings the fun factor every week but his time has come now - 6

Alex & James : I liked this. Enjoyable and good fun to watch. 7

Robbie & Ola : Took a long time to actually start dancing and I wasn't overwhelmed with it when he did. 6

Audley & Natalie : I didn't really ever enjoy any of their dances. I was bored with them from week 1. 4

Harry & Aliona : Great AT and one I'd definitely watch again. 9

Jason & Kristina : He's a great dancer, but all a bit too serious for me. 8

Chelsee & Pasha : I love watching them every week. They are a great partnership and the ones to beat. 9

Anita & Robin : I didn't think much of this AT at all and wasn't surprised with them being bottom two. 7

Holly & Brendan : Not bad but seemed to get into a pickle somewhere near the end. 7

Russell & Flavia : I thought given they only had 1.5 days training they did really well. I'm sure that had they not lost a whole day on Monday that there could have been more in it. I really enjoyed it and they still make me smile each week. 6

Alex: Really good, not the carcrash I was expecting - 7
Anita: Another good performance, dramatic and sexy, Anita looked amazing - 8
Audley: Disappointing, but not as bad as suggested - 5
Chelsee: Very wobbly in places, her frame needs alot of work - 6
Harry: Excellent - 9
Holly: Crap song choice but Artem and Brendan worked their way around it, Brendan and Holly make a good couple - 8
Jason: Nice, if forgettable - 7
Robbie: Good job, definately a ballroom boy - 8
Russell: Beyond sad, the joke wore thin weeks ago and the reveal was embarassing - 2
