Apologies if this has already been mentioned...I couldn't see a thread on it though...

Lets just hope this is the last of the "Will Grant return?" threads as I'm getting quite sick of them

Well, I'm pleased he will not be back as EE do not need him anymore and after Den's return that nearly killed the show I cannot believe that the beeb considered it.

I'm glad too and I agree with Loopy. EE don't need to bring back characters, then need to work with the ones they've got and bring in some new ones. Soaps can't keep looking back to the past, they need to move on with the cast they've got now, not the cast they had 5 years ago.

What? How can you blame the problems of the show on Den?! Den's return, really, had nothing to do with the problems! The problems were LB, crap producing, crap writing, crap characers. Den nearly killed the show? If we hadn't had Den, we wouldn't have Chrissie, the Watts would be pointless, and we have got some really good storylines out of him.

And why shouldn't the Beeb consider bringing back Grant? He was a fantastic character, and Ross Kemp is really good.

I agree about the problems with EE, and them not being just Den. Grant was a great charatcer and the actor is good, but it would mean EE were trying to be the same soap as 5 years ago, and can't do that without having the entire same cast. They need to move on to be better than they were before, and don't need old characters back, but maybe get someone in the Mitchell mould.

Well, here's a sentence I never thought I'd type - I agree with Loopy. ( ) If EE is going to move forward they need to put fresh impertus into the show and not keep harking back to 'the good old days' - it didn't work with Den, and they have shown they can introduce fresh, new, popular characters when they try - e.g. Mini Den (although the appeal passes me by), Chrissie and Jane for example. The only good thing I've seen come out of Den's return was it gave rise to the character of Chrissie.

No, they don't need random characters back, but they do need the Mitchell family. Like the Watts, they are a very important part of the Square, and have made themselves legendies

But yes, EE needs to strive to become better than it ever was before

They could bring in another branch of the mitchell family, instead of trying to rescue the depleting mitchells. You know, some more people to yell "we're fambly!"

Fambly?!

Faaaaaaaamileh, is how it is pronounced

We already have faaaaaamileh families... Slaters, Watts... And you just KNOW that if they brought in some new Mitchell family, there would be Dennis + Den VS (insert male bad boy here) + (insert male bad boy here) wars.

We've got incesty families (Watts), faaaaaaamileh familes (Watts+Slaters), messy families (Millers)... What other families could they bring in?

OMG! A FAMILY OF MURDERERS! YEA!!!!

True it is pronounced Faaaaaaaamileh, but it just takes so long to type . Oooh, let's have a family of murderers, they could kill off half the cast for us.

Seriously, if they did one killer people would slate for copying Corrie's Hillman, but if they had like two 30-something brothers that killed, it would be original. They could end up killing their sister and parents! Wow!

You should tell your partner in crime Will this as part of your Choco and co EE storylines production team. They could also kill off Spencer if his own stupidity doesn't do it first.
