I think she was already on top of Kitty's list.
Really, the best thing she did was drag Kitty off that stage. It was seriously awkward there (I like Caroline, but she didn't have the sense to step back and just let it happen).
Awww I take back completely what I said about Gaga, she's not a weirdo, I like her meat dress and her telephone hat, I will run out and buy all her albums, and I love what she just did for Kitty, so touching, there were tears here!

My first thoughts was that a streaker had run on the stage. She's a very weird lady and overrated, but doing that showed how normal she is despite all the fame. so well done to her.
I think Lady Gaga felt a bond with Kitty, they are both different from the norm and Gaga empathised. Kitty just wants to be accepted for who she is and not pretend to be something that doesn't suit her. Unfortunately unless you are "normal" it's hard to get accepted in life.
You only have to look at the hideous comments by nasty posters on Gagas music videos to see that many cannot accept her for who she is.
