I think Janet is one of these teenagers who does her own thing, not bothered about being in with the popular crowd and doesn't care what others think. I find it refreshing that a teenager on this programme doesn't have to get hair extensions and overdo the make up and shout sing. She is also now trying to distance herself from her mentor which I think is a good thing. She also seems quite deep and answers questions honestly as oppossed to giving the answers that people want to hear.

She is becoming one of my favourite contestants due to the fact that she is not conforming. Frankie thought he was cool and tried hard to be, Janet on the other hand is cool without even trying

So, self-absorbed and thinks she's better than she is?

Yep.

I like her too - and she does have a sense of the artist she wants to be - not some friggin X factor puppet.

Yes you can tell when she's asked a question she actually thinks before answering and answers honestly.

Unlike the others who just smile and give some bland vote for me reply.

I'd really like to see a great performance from Janet, something that would knock my socks off and make me think "wow". She has a nice enough voice but so far I've found her dull. I want to like her.

I think she's in a different class, and I'm impressed by the way she deals with the contrivance and glorified kareoke that is the x-factor.

She's too good for the show, imo.

Which is why she shouldn't want to win this competition

She knew what she was getting into, she could at least try to enjoy herself along the way.

It's like being subjected to Cardle's self-importance again, week in week out, but even he didn't take himself this seriously.

And like Cardle, she isn't half as good as she thinks she is.

Janet has a mind of her own and I sense she is not embracing the more circus elements of the show this year....and for a young teenage girl... fair play to her.

She knows who she is and what she wants to be.......and even more important what she does NOT want to be.

I have great respect for her and was delighted for her tonight when Gary's blatant attempt to get her out failed miserably. I think Gary thinks all he has to do is give out an opinion and the great british public will bow down and obey him.... well he got his answer tonight ! The public.........like Janet.........have a mind of their own !

Cool is one of the last words I would associate with Janet...

If you looked up Janet in a dictionary, it would redirect you to miserable.

Definitely not cool.

Stop it!

Janet will win the X Factor and be as big as Matt Cardle.

Credibility Is Everything!

She hasn't been crucified by the press, so she doesn't have as much to worry about as, say, Kitty or Misha.

If she was too good for this show, then why the hell did she audition for it? Choices are either:
1. She's a fake-ass fake who knows that it's her only chance at success in the business, so she creates this "sweet little girl personality" that she hopes will get her through.
2. She's not too good for the show, acknowledges that there are some contestants that are alot better than she is, and doesn't think she is the second coming.

My money is on #2.

I think that's what Janet wants you to think.

She seemed to be enjoying herself in the earlier rounds, but hasn't seemed quite the same after the week she sang when her Grandfather died suddenly. But I think there is a whole catalogue of things, like dressing up in too revealing clothes etc.

I prefer her youtube covers than the ones on the live shows. Then again, it's probably the themes thats the problem...

Okay you are saying she has created this sweet girl personality yet criticise her for moping about with a sour face on her. Which is it?

Logic Fail!!

Why would Janet bother with hair extensions? Her real hair is already taking over the universe as it is...

Gary said she is predictable every week but no offense Gary so is Marcus.

Janet is way too cool for the X-Factor. Maybe if they stick around her long enough they will learn to be cool too.

Not sure if I like her singing but she does seem like a normal person, which puts her above most other contestants who come across like they've just necked 5 Red Bulls.

Well maybe she'll be better off not winning. At least it's given her a chance to be seen by talent scouts from the recording companies. A lot of cotestants do better by not winning.
