Kate Thornton - Why use her as a presenter??
Why use Kate Thornton as a presenter???
She's not that good at it, in my opinion. Alastair Stewart and Johnathan Maitland would be far better, they do quality reporting and provide factual insights. Look at how successful they were on Police, Camera, Action! and House of Horrors! Kate Thornton - she's well, only ever done showbiz stuff and she gets too giggly for most people! ITV, reconsider who presents your show The X Factor!! Kate can't cut it! |

Kate Thornton is a goddess. She is very intelligent, nice and was the youngest editor of Smash Hits. In terms of pop knowledge, she has a huge amount and is ace as.

that of course is just my opinion! ![]() ![]() As for Alistair Stewart/Jonathan Maitland - why would you want serious, factual, presenters, providing 'insight' on a show like X Factor - it's not Panorama, it's light entertainment.....

ITV, reconsider who presents your show The X Factor!! Kate can't cut it! Sorry did I miss something ? I have been watching The X Factor under the impression that it was showbiz stuff. I didn't realise that it was a political show. How dumb am I ? Boy is my face red !! I trust you are having a laugh with your original post ? I agree about Kate - I think she is about the sexiest presenter on TV - well fit. S. |

I like Kate Thornton. And I think she does a great job. Although I like Ben Shepherd, he isn't a patch on Kate.

Kate's great! Simple as that. She's a breath of fresh air presenting wise. I've seen a lot of her work. And I think she's great for this show.

Probably cos Simon likes her.
At the end of the day, it was probably his choice. I like her though. She does the job and will allow the real stars of the show to be the contestants, if the judges don't overshadow them. |

I love Kate Thornton. i think she is the perfect presenter for this show.
I love the fact as well as being supportive to contestants, she also defends the judges to the contestants. She's great. |

She's definately great eye candy, especially with that green top on she was wearing the other week
.I think I prefer Ant and Dec though, as they are more entertaining overall. She's a good second though As for Alastair Stewart or Johnathan Maitland, how would that work? Neither seem at all suited to the job to me. It format doesn't really suit investigative journalism. In fact I'm sure both would shudder at the thought, and may even be rather insulted at the idea. |

I quite like Kate Thornton, although I would have preferred Ant and Dec. I don't like Ben Shepherd doing the ITV2 show though
BTW has anyone seen Mark and Sam co presenting TOTP Saturday? They remind me very much of a young Ant and Dec - maybe they will be the next ITV2 presenters? |

Kate Thornton is as lovely off-screen as she is on. I worked with her in the past and always found her to be genuine and very friendly.

I think Kate is a really good presenter for the show.
I was never all that keen on Ant and Dec on Pop Idol. |
