Emmerdale episode at 8.30pm in a few weeks instead of clashing with EE
Drifter
06-10-2004
On Thursday 21st October, there will be two episodes but INSTEAD of doing an hour special and going head-to-head with Eastenders, the first episode will be on at 7pm, followed by the 2nd at 8.30.

I'm not sure if they actually are "special" episodes or whether there's a reason for putting two on (it's a 7 episode week), but it's a good thing all round, though where the hell does this leave "The Bill"??
This might change though, but it's true as of now.

I think they ARE special kinda episodes, as I believe it takes place when a huge party kicks off and also falls on the date of Zac's tenth anniversary in the show. 11 Dingles will arrive, including Faith and Albert (Faith being Cain and presumably Chastity's mum). They all arrive for the party.

I guess if it's a success they should do more double episodes for biggish events instead of clashes with EE which, although they can win, does no one any favours!

A good old fasioned Dingle's knees up - i can't wait.
I'm guessing the new dingle is introduced during these episodes and decides to stay around to keep the Dingle count in the village up - anyway who do we currently have: Zak, Lisa and Belle, Sam, Cain, Shadrach, Chas, Charity, Marlon, Debbie and Noah - 11 if you count Arron (chas's son) as a character.

At least people can't say that ITV don't care about their viewers (although saying that, where has the bill gone??).

Plus 8:30pm is a good slot because they can get away with a lot more and you know how dirty those dingles can be.

Dingle moto "keep it in the family" .

I bet Loopy Lisa will probably see this as an act of submission by ITV to the BBC.

I will tell you why this is happening because itv have got themselves all worked up at the prospect of Corrie being beaten by EE in the hour long special that will air on 1 of november and see the return of Lil Mo so they have decided to do this in the hope the beeb will do the same.

It is no conspiracy the evidence is there.
I have my eye on ITV1 and the moment they do something wrong they have had it.

Fair enough ITV took advantage of EE's slump in put Emmerdale against it, and now that EE's getting a bit better, they're now doing what they would have done had EE not been so bad before. This doesn't need an argument over ITV vs BBC, or a ITV/Emmerdale slating contest. ITV took advantage of a situation, as they are allowed to do, and as the EE bosses and cast never admitted that EE was bad, then they shouldn't have had a problem with Emmerdale being shown at the same time as EE, as if it was still as good as they said, then it should have beaten Emmerdale in the ratings.

lol@Loopy "they have had it!" I can just see you now pulling ITV off the air for clashing Emmerdale with Easties.

I give up!!!

The only people to miss out here, are the viewers who watch both soaps!!!!
they have to decide which one to watch!!!

it shouldn't be about BBC vs ITV!
