It's out already here. although I won't be paying good money to go and see it. I would even prefer to see Alvin and his band of chipmunks than this.

There were adverts for it that said it was the movie event of 2012.
That was before 2012 had even started. I feel that this is another overrated film like Black Swan that is hyped up to be something more than it actually is. |

Even the Thatcher family refused an invite to watch it. I'll follow their lead for the first and last time.

I quite fancy Ms Streep dressed as Thatcher.

Decent turn for the Premiere tonight at BFI Southbank
Meryl Streep, Anthony Head (with daughters Emily and Daisy), Jim Broadbent, Richard E Grant and the very cute Alexandra Roach who plays the young Ms Thatcher - she looks like a young Michelle Ryan anyway pic gallery here http://bit.ly/yawqhc |

Im going to go and see this (on my own) on saturday. Im looking forward to it. The Thatcher years are fasinating and from what Ive been told you either loved her our hated her. Im going with an open mind and see what I think. I studyed the policies and the news/issues/wars etc in politics A level and being born in 1986 my early years were in a conservative governent, I indeed was a kid who used to get milk at school and that was stopped...I look forward to seeing the film

I would never want to discourage anyone from going to watch a film and making their own mind up about it, but please read the comments made earlier in this thread by duncann. This is not a historical film, it is a drama about what Mrs Thatcher might be like now with some historical reenactments and footage pasted in.

Nobody liked it when Mel Gibson shoved William Wallace down disbelievers throats for inaccuracy with Braveheart. Give it over, please. Its just a film I'm not interested in. |

Not a great day for publicity today for this film. Cameron has come out and said the film should have been made 'another day'.

Sorry Guys and Gals ... i detest Politics even intruding into my leisure time.
If we have to suffer more exposure of Tory pigs I'll just vomit. if we really really have to have a dire 1.5 hr bore fest of British Politician's, make it Churchill please |
