..read the absolutely horrible Daily Mail or Daily Star (can't remember which) article about Lewis and his friend drowing? It was really horrible, I think it's been taken down now, but I can't see why they thought it would be relevant?

I assume they meant before filming, although the story's gone now, I could only see the cached start:

"YOUNG Apprentice star Lewis Roman is hiding a secret heartache – his grief over losing the girl he loved in a drowning tragedy. ..."

They've got the whole thing on if you go into the full cache.

Genuinely revolting - that's not journalism, they've just taken his misery and turned it into a peep show. I'm glad they took it down, but it shouldn't have existed in the first place. No. Not cricket.

Not sure how true the story was by Daily Star, the couple that drowned were boyfriend/girlfriend. They are insinuating that it was Lewis' 'girlfriend' that drowned. Also they state Young apprentice was filmed after August 28th this year - which is surprising to read. Please note spoiler contains the article - caution advised.

Spoiler
YOUNG Apprentice star Lewis Roman is hiding a secret heartache – his grief over losing the girl he loved in a drowning tragedy.

Lewis’ relationship with Hayley Holmes, 17, ended shortly before he filmed the programme in the summer.

But the 16-year-old was desperate to rekindle their romance, frequently texting her while he was in London on the Young Apprentice and she was at home in Wirral, Merseyside.

He had been on several dates with the pretty student earlier this year – but she told him she only wanted to be friends.

Then Hayley started a new relationship with 21-year-old Robbie Crofts while Lewis was away filming the show.

Lewis went back to Merseyside in August and continued socialising with Hayley as a friend. But tragedy struck when she and Robbie died after going for a late-night swim in the River Mersey.

Lewis had been with her at a music festival just hours before she died.

A close friend said: “Lewis was totally devastated when Hayley died. He couldn’t stop crying for weeks and hardly went out of his home.

“Viewers of the Young Apprentice will see what a lively and bubbly person he is but Hayley’s death completely shattered him and turned his world upside down.”

Lewis is one of nine remaining candidates vying for a £25,000 prize on Lord Sugar’s BBC1 programme.

After the festival on August 28, Hayley and Robbie are believed to have gone for a midnight swim near the New Brighton promenade in Wirral.

They were swept away by strong currents. Hayley’s body was found the following morning while Robbie was discovered two weeks later.
