Usin an External HDD with Foxsat-HDR
Is it possible to move recordings from the Foxsat-HDR to an External USB HDD plugged into the rear USB Socket and then play the moved recordings back off of the External HDD without having to move them back onto the internal HDD? If it is possible I'd be able to build up a library of Movies and be able to watch them and keep them for future viewing without having to export to an External HDD and then re-import onto the Internal HDD when I want to watch one.

Yes it is, both SD (not encrypted) and HD (encrypted) will play back directly from the usb drive.
FOR HD movies the drive will need formatting EXT3. |

I am clueless about computers and networks. EXT3 is a Linux FS, any PC booted into Linux from a free boot CD will do it without any extra software. http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm |

All the Movies are SD recorded off of Film 4 & Horror Channel, but it's good to know for any Movies I may record off of BBC 1HD, BBC HD, Itv1 HD or Channel 4HD.
