Constructive Reviews Thread
This is a thread where you can review any episode of any soap, using constructive criticism where necessary.
Hopefully this will produce some healthy debate, try and back your comments and views up with valid points to keep the risk of argument at a minimum. If you know something you think could cause offense, remember the good old 'IMO' - which means 'in MY opinion'. If you're here to cause trouble or whatever, don't bother posting. With that in mind, get reviewing! My first review will be tonights edition of The Bill |

For an example, I'll do yesterday's episode.
---------------------------------------------------------- The Bill, 07 Oct 2004 Rating: ** I thought this episode was OK but I found it hard to watch in parts because nothing was particularly gripping. I'm starting to get annoyed with Gary, something about him annoys me. I hope the whole situation with the Radfords gets more explosive soon, also I'd prefer it if Gabriel Kent (the chimp!) was not in any more episodes. The Bill needs to beef up storylines as the past two have been, IMO, very boring. I gave up with the funeral episode - mundane! A few weeks ago, episodes with Kerry undercover were explosive - I loved them and at the end of the hour was wetting myself for more - the hour flew by. Now it's gone all quiet and boring. Give us a siege or an armed police scene - we love our action! ---------------------------------------------------------- When doing ratings, use stars and the highest is 5 - only give 5 in a truly outstanding episode - let's have standards!

Neighbours 07 oct 2004
rating *** As with most episodes there was a mixture of funny, silly, and serious. today we also had some cute moments. This was when Connors baby was there, Toadie was reluctantly left to watch her for a few minutes, and she kept turning to look at him, i wondered how long it took to get her to do that. Silly and funny was Sindi and Lil deciding to buy a dress and share it, drawing up a colourful rota sheet. serious was Lou about to be beaten up in prison. Silly part of this was that the guards change over and leave the prisoners unsupervised, especially as they all know Lou is at risk in there. |

The Bill, 08 Oct 2004
Rating: *** An improvement on past episodes, but still not the best. Kerry is showing signs of being stupid (oh never! doh!) and leading a double life. And the Seriaaalll Sniper strikes again! It appears that their trying to make us think its Andrea or Gabriel... hmmm.. And what is happening to Jim? Guh. On the whole, a pretty good episode, but not The Bill at it's best - I'm sure it will all hot up soon! |
