It's based on impacts and the number of people they anticipated the song has reached, so a few spins on a big station like R2 would be higher than 50 plays on Isle of Wight radio (if there is one)

This link shows it better. This is the rolling 7 day chart.

I think so, 1D have been snubbed (very childish of capital).

Very childish is what 1D did in Brits. Airplay is important and you can't just snub one of the biggest radio station. But I believe their PR didn't plan this and because they are still inexperienced in music industry it's probably forgivable

I didn't know who they were meant to thank tbh, I didn't vote (or really listen to who the award was meant to be endorsed by).

If they didn't thank at all it would be nothing wrong. While the best way is just generic saying 'thank to all radio stations which supported us'

They're young and it's all new to them so there was obviously no intention of thanking the wrong people or not thanking the right people

At least they got a chance to thank more people than Adele did ... lol

Hmm not the best week for XF acts - Cher and Matt's new releases underperforming and 1D's single dropping. But then again the singles are from albums released months ago now.

At least we have 3 acts still in the album top 20

Well it's all about expectations really I think Cher single has done really well considering as you say it's the third of the album and she has not had a lot of radio support and Matts single has helped his album sales
1d and Rebecca are continuing to shine

Not sure why they are listed at #11 when the Billboard article has them at #12
This week full charts will be published by Billboard today (US time of course).

Incredible numbers for Adele!!!”

Those numbers for singles sales are from Hot Digital Tracks Chart. There is another chart for singles sales, Hot Digital Songs Chart. "Songs" chart combines sales of all versions of one song into one entry while "Tracks" chart keeps them separately. WMYB was only released as a single in original version and has no remixes, so their sales number is the same on both charts.
