I think olly might do better here in America than one may think. He's been hanging out around the lower end iTunes pop 100 for a week now. It's like it needs one big push or a series of small ones.

I try to be consistent with X Factor related, but I am aware that I am biased towards acts I have more interest in.
For example, I include American Idol alums but not contestants from other shows like the Voice, because I can't be bothered. Sorry.

Any news on what WUB has sold so far?

I haven't been able to find anything. Considering WUB position on the Digital Songs chart, I would estimate its sales at around 60k last week and 50k the previous one, but this is all I can say because it has only been on the Digital Songs chart for two weeks, and the Hot 100 is based on a mix of sales and airplay making it hard to guess the sales level.

Makes sense. I saw 156k up to last week so add 60k plus means well over 200k so far. One assumes (and hopes!) it'll be more this week as its percentage is still edging up generally compared to no 1 ( except we don't know if that's declining itself mind).

Are we likely to get digital sales figures for it next week then do you think?

I don't know. Since Soundscan, the organisation that compiles the sales figures, have complained to message boards that the information that is their property is made available online, we have less numbers.
I am sure that the numbers for WUB will pop up somewhere at some point, the higher it charts, the more likely it will be.
