Think it has a bit.

I'm not trying to say Chris is a beacon of honesty and truth or anything like that, but lots of people have very fixed accents. I lose my accent at the drop of a hat, but I don't think my dad's Glaswegian accent could be removed with a sledgehammer.

Accents are funny things. Some people lose them quickly and some don't.

ETA: my original accent comment wasn't actually doubting Chris, just more thinking aloud.

No. Meester Chris, he not here. You go now.”

I look after the dogs of two mates from time to time.

One is an absolutely adorable golden retriever who just loves to be petted. First time he was here, he just lay on the floor trying to look under the door to the hall waiting for his master. He is happier now as he knows his master always comes back.

The other I look after in his own home. A black labrador - it's well looked after. He has his own:-

Bedroom - with bean bed, couch and radio (on timer).

Car (yes really!) - saves damaging the leather on the main car.

Stairs - The main house stairs are polished wood so a narrow "secret" carpeted staircase was put in between the dogs bedroom and the upstairs study for safety.

I miss having cats.”

Can't you get one of your own now?

Yes, I have often looked after people's cats and dogs, both in their own homes and mine. My worst experience was taking two house cats into my open plan flat from an ex boss when he transferred to China. Two weeks turned into three months along with all the paraphenalia they needed to be shipped on to him. The cats also hated each other - not the best recipe for them to be confined together in a comparatively small open space.

I have helped various neighbours by looking after cats, hamsters, tropical fish, gerbils and geese. I would demand danger money to look after the geese again

My Oma is Dutch, moved here 1969, my husband doesn't understand a word she says!! Weirdly, though I understand her perfectly I can hear her accent but my dad (her son) who was born in this country cannot hear that she has a different accent to him!

We looked after a family members rabbit whilst they were on holiday, fed it loads of fresh fruit and veg alongside the dry stuff. After they'd been home a week or so they asked if we'd done anything different to them as the bunny was refusing it's dried food - turns out he'd never had fresh stuff before and had obviously taken a liking to it!!!

I've only ever looked after a friends 2 rabbits, years ago when they were on holiday for 2 weeks.

Only had feed them daily and clean some of the poop out of the cage. They stayed outdoors and lived up the road so I could get to them easily.
