I don't think people really care that she mimes. Lots of people mime, and it's quite normal in pop music.
And she's still been popular in the US for example. In the UK, Hold It Against Me got a lot of radio support from the big stations, but didn't really do that well, so the radio stations supported her follow-up single even less. That did even worse in the chart, so I Wanna Go got practically no radio airplay at all. Mark my words, if Britney gets another song in the top 10 on iTunes again, you'll start hearing it on the radio. I think her next chance at doing that in the UK is when she releases a new songs that's not on the album though. Other contemporary pop stars like Katy Perry, lady gaga, Jessie J, hell even rihanna are performing LIVE with backing track. Those girls are most definitely singing live be it for better or sometimes worse (katy doing firework for example). Once you do a whole show mimed (like circus was) you can't shake it off in countries like these with ease. That stigma stays and only her strong dedicated fanbase can ignore it because it's something they've been used to for a long time and saying the new show is 40% live or whatever % isn't good enough for the regular concert goer. When we're seeing Katy perry do everything live even off key and dancing routines, and the same being done with rihanna and gaga it's just not cutting the butter unless it's all live with backing track. |

Janet and Michael Jackson have done tours mimed. I even saw Depeche Mode and they Mimed, Ive seen loads do it over the years. Bitneys new show yah half of it was mimed (and on the dvd the live vocals have been dubbed). It was still a good show though. Shes still got something.

No promotional effort lead to no airplay.
I will always see Britney as a legend, but she is older now and we will never ever see her back dancing and enjoying herself as much as she did during the Slave years. The sad thing is if her parents cared more about her and not her money then she wouldn't have had the breakdowns. |

Actually, Britney did an interview on Radio 1 to promote the criminal release. I think it was on the Greg James show, but don't quote me on it. Plus it did get airplay on Radio 1. The video getting banned didn't help. Anyway who cares if it wasn't a hit in the UK, the UK sucks. More fool the British public and stupid MPs eg Diane Abbot.

Her last album was her best for years. I'm gutted it didn't perform over here.
