Random fact or not paying enough attention?

I've just finished watching Episode 30 (Day 26) and I don't think I've heard Aaron say "poppet" once in this or any previous episode.

In fact, I seem to remember us thinking that "poppet" was a Faye or a Palmer expression that Aaron adopted. My first conscious memory of him using it was when he told Jem to sit down when she burst in on him kissing Faye in the bedroom.

Am I missing something?

It is probably to do with the editing, as Quasi mentioned we heard him say it to the little lad in the Dr. The saying I most associated him with, early on, was 'Oh Dear'

Mosie dealt pretty well, for a 19yr old, with the aftermath of 'kissgate'. She obviously fancied Aaron like mad and moved over for Faye. She couldn't help herself now and again, cue reminding Faye and the others she got there first.

i don't think it's anything more complicated than what he's told us. he needed her energy in the house.

i think alex was so childlike that aaron had a paternal need to protect her. really, they were all protective of her.

but aaron and jay had also convinced themselves they heard some "get alex out" chants during the previous eviction, so he was afraid she'd be evicted if she was up. and he didn't want to be in the house without her.

Aaron nominated Faye first time round so he WAS going with the plan. It was my belief at the time that they were never going to get away with the 2 noms each thing and I still think that. They would have kept going until someone broke it.

No idea why they never told us - in voiceover - that they had done it multiple times, not just once or twice. Marcus even says that they "start nominations for the second time" which is a lie, going on what Faye said once evicted

Oh and Louise IS shady. Very shady.

Not just for her nomination meaning 2 were up instead of 5, but the whole blaming of Aaron for it

Jay is just as bad - he KNEW straight away Louise had also messed up, but said nothing to the others and let Aaron take the flack

Oh and Jay and Lou BOTH conveniently nomming Faye and Aaron - that was handy, eh ”

I agree. I associate "Oh dear" far more with Aaron.

It wasn't really until the Winner's Show that the word "poppets" ever really hit my consciousness as an Aaron saying,

Am I the only one that has had to draw up a grid when rewatching shows to tie up the Episode numbers, the date and day of the week the show was aired, and the Day number (used for FB clips)?

I find it all thouroughly confusing. On Channel 5 they use the date the show was aired and on YouTube they use Episode numbers, and with two episodes every Friday eviction this means they are out of massively out of sync with the day numbers used for FB clips.

No idea lol - they all seemed to pick up poppet and oh dear lol

My brain is mush after that noms episode so heading off now too.

Btw, as well as Lou, Tom doesn't come out of that episode particularly well either - slagging Aaron to the hilt but Louise is "courageous". Jeezo

Faye doesn't get a lot of credit either but she is reacting because she is hurt, so I can see where she is coming from (hence me pleading with you lot to vote for her

) Considering the lengths Aaron had previously gone to to protect her, it was strange timing for him to suddenly decide to abandon that, tho I could also see where he was coming from with the whole "get there on your own merits" thing too. I am assuming he meant it as a huge compliment to her, but of course it ended up being a bit muddled and awkward as was his way

Gutted we lost Faye but what a brilliant week of support she gave Aaron/us so it turned out fine in the end.

Final word on Lou (and Jay) from this episode? Lets just say

I'm offski for tonight folks - more catch up tomorrow

I only ever watched the Channel 5 clips, followed by the HL shows, knowing that all the decent Aaron/Faye footage would not be included in the HL shows. Must be very confussing trying to sort it all out if you are re-watching everything. I am sure some of the posters can help you make sense of it though.
